Isn't the Z4M in a totally different price category, I'd think the Z4 standard edition would be closer to the 370Z price. And if the Z4 or Z4M doesn't watch out the 3050lb Z car with 350 hp may spank both of them.
Costing only $32-$36k instead of $48 - $60k. The only reason to buy a Bimmer would be parnache factor but you can't talk no track noise to the 370Z, I bet.

well with a Reflash the VQ37HR will make 320-330whp.
i saw a reflash from technosquare which made those numbers iirc with the G37.
so even if the M coupe gets the V8, the Z will only be a reflash, a full exhaust and dual intakes away from being as fast.
or just drop 1500 for a 4.083 rear end and a reflash w/ a 8,000rpm redline and pwn lots.
oh how i wish my Z32 had a 8,400rpm redline like that bmw V8 o0o...

I am going to ask a dumb question. What kind of damage to the motor/car could a reflash have????
The Z4M does not have the E92 V8 motor, it comes with a S54 E46 M3 motor. 330 BHP and bearly 278lb TQ, but the car does do a 1/4 in mid 13's. So I think that the 370z will mop the floor with it if the rumors are true.
And as a side note, it's going to take a lot more than bolt-ons to get the 370Z up to par with a V8 Z4M...
But as far as the older I6 model Z4M, it won't take much, if anything, at all.

The old one? Sure. It was lackluster. But the new one is rumored to get the V8, which will turn it into a monster.

But, is the V8 confirmed?? What about the talk that BMW was going to a tuned version of the TT inline 6 for the M cars????
Hmm.. This will be interesting.
You're NOT

c. Way too many variables.
Bench racing FTL .... I'll say it again, my couch will beat any car that on the road today. It's all fun and games until you have to race my couch.
