If you're going to dump it.... Run don't walk. The 370 is going to be 5-10K less than the current car. Whether you think it ugly or not, it will drop the value of your car once the pricing is made public. Nissan will also throw a program at any remaining 08's to clear inventory at the end of the summer. Which, you guessed it.... Will also reduce the value of your car.

The 370Z is going to be 5-10K less than the current car? How is that possible? Wow !!!! I'll jump all over that. I think you mean your present car will be worth 5-10 less.
Sorry I just had too.... I'll be happy if they don't bump the price up for the 370Z.

You can't expect to make a blanket statment like that and us not ask for a little more information, since you seem to know something. What do you know and from what source? That's very, VERY interesting if true and it runs counter to all stated before.

Thanks.

I agree.
IMO I seriously doubt the new 370Z will be less than the 350Z in price. That is wishful thinking. Would be great but just don't see it happening.

on the east coast, 03 350z's are already down to 12-14 grand for most of them.
Nissans never had good resale particularly..
its kind of sad to see mildly swapped 240sx's getting more $ out of them then 350zs...

Having always been a Z car enthusiast, I plan on collecting every model I can get my hands on - yes, even the Z31. So yeah, I'd keep the Z33.

angelo350z - There is just something about the Z that keep bring me back too. I can hardly wait to see the 370Z and the improvements that Nissan will bring to it.

Here's a history shot for you. The right Z31 is awesome. Here is a couple I owned prior to the 350Z:

Those turbos were fun and reliable in there day over 200K on each boosted to 11psi. Nice car just not as nice as the 350Z in my opinion.

I have district contacts at head office. Most of what you hear on these boards is conjecture. When I have paper details, I'll let you guys know. The price drop is coming down the Z pipeline, and it's long overdue in my opinion.

Is it possible that it's a CDN only adjustment to move closer to US parity?
It sure would be nice to see!!!

Wow, I didn't even take notice of the fact that you two are from Canada. I think you are probably correct and this falls much more inline with the expectations of what is coming.

Found out today that the Roadster is unchanged for '09. They will replace Glacier Pearl with Moonlight white, and no more ventilated seats. No more news on the 370 hatch yet.

Makes sense the 350z roadster will continue because the 370z roadster won't be out until 2010.

But what does not make sense is that Nissan would have a new model Z out with the old model roadster.

Seems more logical they would not sell the roadster until it drops in the new guise. Maybe we will not see the next Z until 3rd quarter next year as a 2010 model, no roadster until 3rd quarter 2011 dropping as a 2012 model.

Does that make any sense at all?

It's not the 1st time....
BMW did the same with M3.
The E92 was out for a long time b4 the M3 was updated.

Exactly. You don't stop selling in a particular segment just because the 'vert isn't ready.

Also, hopefully this new white is a pure white. I hate pearl white. It's not a sports car color, more of a luxury car color to me.

Very nice! The silver one's in pristine condition, I'd be very lucky to find one of those. But you're right, I aways find myself looking for a great deal on a Z32, Z31, as well as an S30. Well, one day I'll have my fleet of Z cars.

Those cars were in the fleet a few years back. The pictures were taken as they were sold. Perfect condition both cars. Sold the grey one after picking up the silver AE. Drove the AE to 222K and kept it for 18 months after I bought my 350Z. Then sold it to a guy/wife in Indiana. He drove all the way to Cali and back to get the car.

Unfortunately, the 350Z was totalled a couple of months ago. So, until the 370z is out for a year I'm driving a Honda Si. It's nice and pretty quick through the mountains with the LSD FWD. But, I sure miss my 350Z. I'll stay on the site and count my pennies until the 370Z shows up and is proven to me. I hope it doesn't receive the walrus tusks. But, if it does I hope it grows on you and the performance is that much better. Otherwise, I might just jump to the GTR. I'm pretty sure I'm not a Corvette guy at this point.

I like to use new cars as my rewards to myself for doing something.

So, I figure I have to get a PhD / Private Pilot's License before picking up a 370Z or GTR this time.

Challenge yourself !!!

Back to the original post: Yes, sell your 350Z and wait for the 370Z if you can. I think it will be well worth the wait.
