so the 370Z will go on sale in 09 as 2009 model? i thought its coming out late 2009 as 2010 first year model. im confused.

The information that was announced by Nissan 7/11/08 was not the same info given several weeks back.
You said it was on the Nissan news website and I asked you to provide the link. Which you never did. Not intended to argue with you or dissagree. I just asked for the link. Someone else provided that link and this is what it said:

The global sales forecast for fiscal 2008 is 3.9 million units. The main contributions to volume growth will come primarily from GOM and Russia. Nissan will launch nine all-new products during fiscal 2008: Teana, Infiniti FX, Maxima, Bakkie successor, Qashqai+2, a mini SUV, Cube, Z and Infiniti G37 Convertible.


It did not provide an exact date the car would be on sales floors. And it did not say the car would be available in spring 09. So yes, at that point it was speculation and opinion.

 

09 z, not 370z... makes sense. From a naming convention perspective they could have engine variation "z" without the need for different numbers. Like a nismo z or something...

 

Well at least we know for sure we'll see the Z34 in 4 more months at the LA Auto show.

 

They just did this w/ the Mini as well - 07 vert was still s/c, old body style where as the coupe was turbo, new body...

The link did say the new Z would launch during fiscal year 2008, which ends in March '09.....not an exact date but certainly a specific time frame. Are you really too stupid to comprehend that or are you just unable to admit that your speculation was wrong and just about everyone else's was right?

I have spoken to Nissan about you and they are not going to sell you a new Z before fall '09. NO Z FOR YOU. There....now you're right!

Infiniti did the same with the G35 when the G37 came out. There are tons in production, that they will have to bring them out available for the next year.
