Cars are getting heavier these days. And size/dimensions doesn't seem to be the main factor of more weight these days. Unless ofcourse, these use light weight materials. (It doesn't seem plausible with that stated base price).
Some of you guys are getting your hopes too high for $29,500
I'm sure it'll be a great performing car for the price with a needed upgraded interior. Let's just hope it scores a point in the exterior styling too.

I spoke with one of the managers today and saw a few pics, it looks about like what has been shown here.
The odd thing is, is that he said that they were about 60 days out from being shipped out. Said that he might have one in Sept or early Nov. I know the guy so he should call me when he gets it in.

Why don't you post the pics the manager showed you?
I would be suprised if the broke into the 4sec range 0-60... More than likely low 5 sec range since they only put 330 hp in the car... Also I'm wondering what kind of internals will the motor be made of.. Surley they would never copy Toyota and start putting forged internals in the z.. Time to start looking around for other options now...

What has happened to you lately. You seem to be smashing the Z every chance you can get. If this is not the car for you, just bounce..

Our current Z's were so heavy because we shared a handful of components and layout with the G. The next generation of Z/G's seem like they are polarizing, on the chassis and suspension at least.

I haven't been following the 370Z all that much, but an extra 30hp over an HR Z and a bit lighter in weight should make for a very quick car.
