I think 370Z could be best looking Z since the 240Z
OK, this is just my opinion. I had owned 2 240Z's and come to know the body lines very well over the years. I think the 370Z takes many cues from the original 240Z and improves upon them making it, what could be, the best looking Z since. I think the new Z might be the best looking of all Z's when it comes out. I reminds me of the 240Z's with the added flares and modernized.
There were elements to the 350Z I thought were awkward like its rear 3/4 view. It has sharp arc along the profile which seems too elemental to me and the flaring in the front fenders did not blend as well as the 370Z. Also, I never really liked the headlights on the 350Z, it seemed many Japanese cars were making huge headlight clusters. I like that Nissan has gone the other direction and made them significantly smaller.
I could never understand why Nissan did not bring back the profile of the 240Z because I think it was a classic and stands the test of time. Now it seems they finally did it.
Also, it seems the interior on the 370Z will be much better.
I have not been so excited about the Z since the original 240Z. I think Nissan will have a winner.

I also agree. This new Z resembles the 240Z in a LARGE way, and that is an excellent thing!!
I must again show my complete adoration of Nissan for this Z!!! I thought the Maxima looked cool in pictures, but when I saw it in person I told my wife I was FORCING her to make that her next car. It is hawt!! I am certain the Z34 will be awe inspiring in person!!

The 350Z always seemed to have too much body and not enough headlight and tailight. The tails on the 350 seemed too small for that rear.
What's gonna make this next Z so special is the perfect balance of s2k and Z charecteristics. Wasn't so much the weight or power but the 350 always seemed a little too ordinary in stock form but it was a lot easier to live with compared to the s2k. I owned a MY05 s2k for a while and liked the Z more the first time I drove one. For some reason the base and touring Zs that I drove never felt as dynamic as the EVO/STi/s2k.
I think a Z32 looks the best.

I didnt like the look of the earlier pics i saw of the 370, like all the spy shots and what not, but I absolutely love it now. The latest pics of it without camo look GREAT. Definitely agree with you.

This is what I've been saying for a while. Nissan is doing this the right way- subtle styling cues from previous Z cars, as opposed to a blatant carbon copy, like the Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang. From a styling perspective, where do those cars go from here? They've painted themselves into a corner. Nissan has wisely avoided that. .02
I'm a bmw fan, but I have to say this z is hot. I have an e46 m3 right now, but this z is definitely gonna be my second car when it come out. Prob to Nissan for fine tune the exterior looks and better interior quality. I love the modern dash and leather stitching.
If they can keep the weight and engine at 330hp at their original claim couple with better reliability, it will be a hot hit.

I def like the design of the new 370Z. It has such an aggressive look to it. When you look at the side by side picture, it makes the 350Z looks out dated. I love how Nissan took cues from previous models (240Z, 280Z, 350Z etc) and made it such a nice combination. Nissan get a

Very possible that the 370Z is the best looking yet. It's the newest, and it takes the success from the current Z with a twist of the original Z. Just as important as styling is that Nissan is attacking Porsche, particularly the Cayman S. That machine has been putting a hurt on us ever since it hit the track (market wise, no effect because of price difference). That's what I love about the track, there are no separations of economic class. At the Auto-X and Streets of Willow, I find myself saying:
Hopefully, 2010 Z drivers can swap "Mercedes" for "Porsche Cayman S"

I think it looks good, both inside and out... evolutionary and smoothed out. It's a little difficult to dislike something that you haven't seen in real life, and is covered up by a bunch of concealing tapes and bras.
The 350Z to me looks more outdated than the old model classic 300ZTT that I loved so much. Something about the design of the 350Z was always a little off...
I think the Cayman S is one of the most beautiful cars on the road... the way the light hits it. And the new 370z is looking like it has a lot of similar lines and proportions. I have been looking at a Cayman S purchase... but looks like the Z will be a serious contender for my dollars.
