EDMUNDS NEW ARTICLE WITH PICS
"The architecture of the interior is familiar, as the steering wheel is mounted on a moveable pod and there are three small instruments on top of the dash, but the cheap, hard plastic of the current Z-car has mercifully disappeared."
Mmmmmmmmmm

anyone saying the 370z sucks is just a flat out hater. Lighter, moar powaaah, more balanced, better quality materials, better fit and finish, better platform, exclusive chassis finally, this is a designated sports car that was built to be a sports car. All the drawbacks of the 350 is gone. Good job Nissan!! Altho as always looks are subjective, this is a better car in every way. (I LOVE the new look as well). I will be trading my 350 in when the 2010 model comes out with the first year bugs fixed. Very excited.
QUOTE=GalvatronType_R;6421098]Screw the fangs, the pointy headlights, and that ludicrous roofline, I'm buying a Camry Solara or a Sebring instead.

Placement for the ikey button is whack. Should have been put on the handle itself...you know where your thumb will actually be.

The new gauge cluster looks pretty sick but I'm wondering how the blue numbering will look alongside red needles and an orange info display. Color overload much? I suppose we shall see in due time.
I'm still digging the new look as a whole though but I have to say that after seeing the shots of the higher trim level roaming the streets of Germany, these pictures of the base car do little to impress me. Bring on the unveiling.
the more pics i see of this car the more i want to start pulling parts off my 350, in preperation to get the 370. i hope they use the same offset wheels. i wonder if my gt-s will fit on the 370 and look good. someone photoshop the 370z in blue with grey gt-s
Props to Nissan for designing the 370Z with modders in mind. So if you opt out of the navigation package, you won't be stuck with an integrated 7-8" display and proprietary audio/HVAC controls like the G37 and Altima (one of the deal breakers). You'll be blessed with a double-din unit design and what looks like deeper mounting depth (?). Hopefully half of the rear interior doesn't have to be removed just to get to the speakers. The original sub location is still good, and hopefully they improved that design as well.
Also, the turn signal and reverse light is integrated to the brake lamp housing. One of the biggest benefits there is easier bulb changing. I wonder if we still have to pull the brake light out to swap bulbs. The last time I did that one of the pegs broke.
Hopefully there's a bit more clearance to change the bulbs up front.
As for the gauge cluster, the silver Fuel/Temp face sticks out like a sore thumb. It won't stop me from pulling it apart to change out the amber LEDs.
We're missing the inside roof view, but I'm assuming they're going by the same one used in the G/Maxima.
