2009 Nissan 370Z: Design Dissected
**** I was about to post this same article. You beat me to it. I really need to see one in person to decide if I like the new 370Z more than the 350Z. I know it's supposed to perform better, but I'm not sure I like the way it looks. The interior looks awesome though.
At least for me I know for a fact that the 370z looks better than the 350z just by judging from the pictures. Similar angles are taken from both cars and the 370z makes the 350z looked aged. When I see the car in person next month I know I will fall in love...can't wait.

Good article....you can really see more of the 240Z in this new version than any of the others. If the car looks as aggressive in person as it does in the NFS trailer, then Nissan did a good job.
I would rather have seen a completely fresh design and a car that weighs less, but the 370Z will still be one of the best looking and performing sports cars on the road. With the monster discounts on new Corvettes, however, Nissan better keep the price down. A Vette with 436 HP or an even cheaper Camaro with 422 HP are hard to ignore.

Liking it more with each new post. Can't wait to see it in person though and I would not think of getting one until the second or 3rd year.
Nissan will enhance and improve the design just like they did with the 350. Remember how the anticipation was for "350 HP" then the dissapointment when it was under 300.

If you say the 370Z looks like the Crossfire in the back I could find dozens of other cars with this silhouette. Do you guys actually take the time to look at the cars shapes or just saying, "hey, it has four wheels and it slopes down in the back." Actually, I could actually pick just about any car and say it looks like a dozen other cars if you simplify basic forms to this degree. Actually the 370Z is more like a mix of the 240z/280Z/280ZX/928 than the crossfire.

You guys are blind I don't see hideous looking crossfire in the 370z design...crossfire is too square and jagged, z4coupe looks more like the crossfire..if anything I see bits of pieces of Porsche(cayman)especially the rear fenders.
Anyway, the end result it looks great. So who cares about all the comparisons these guys pull out of their stretched imaginations.
