Put Ecutek on the EVO X and it will outperform the 370Z i am quite sure.

Dyno of an EVO X GSR with Ecutek only (no catback, stock air filter, no test pipe etc.)

That is a minor mod so I think it should be considered when comparing. Getting 50 more hp out of a 370Z is another story.
Stock I think the Z could be a bit faster.

Thumbs up

I really enjoy reading these types of threads

Once we see some real numbers from forum members at the track, then we will know what the car can do.

I think the car will hit 12.9. But thats just me.. I got my old ars 03 to hit a 13.005. Yeah, its modded to hell and has slicks..

Im looking forward to buying the 370z.. And it will be at the track

Later
Todd

NO it SHOULDN'T be considered. We're (they're) talking STOCK VERSUS STOCK.

I could EASILY get more power than that out of a 370Z for around the same price... it's called nitrous, and should be considered if a tune (one of the absolute biggest HP/TQ gains available for an Evo) is considered.

Not to be disrespectful but I care little what Mitsubishi owners have to say about the 370Z.

I have also made a comment on the stock comparison (yes if you read again I said the Z might probably be faster stock).
And in my opinion it should be considered since most Evo's have Ecutek installed. And who on here leaves his car stock?

Nitrous - yeah right, might help on a dragstrip... I am talking about overall performance.

Your opinion is skewed if you think a tune should be considered in a STOCK CAR comparison.

How about this then... you can have your flash and the Z gets race rubber.

I own a 2 Zs and an evo X and have been doing nothing but defending the 370z. Just because someone owns a car that you may not like doesnt mean their opinions can't be valid. This, of course, was to mean no disrepect towards you.

@ bboypuertoroc I wont be arguing for 5 pages... I'll just leave it alone.
In the UK there are still the FQ models available - you could also consider them "stock" - yeah I know they are moren expesive than the 370Z.

They're both performance cars in the same price range. That's why many people compare them along with the STI.
