If you have 07-08 NISMO would you trade in for 370Z ??
Hey guys,
I was thinking about how 370z SV would compare to 07-08 NISMO 350z.
Me being NISMO owner my self, I like a lot of new things on 370z, I like the fact that car comes with updated Eng and VVEL 3.7L.
But would if you had the chance would you trade out your NISMO for 370z??
Keep in mind that NISMO 350z has somethings, that 350 or 370z do not have and may never have.
Front and Rear Dampers, a true stagger wheel setup 19-inch in rear and 18-inch up front. The only z ever to have been built and tuned my ((Autech)).
I know! I will be taking out a 370z SV for a full test drive when my dealers get's some in.
I know for my self right now, I do not think the 370z is an upgrade over NISMO 350z.
Unless you want 7speed Auto and push button start and other tech toys that come on the car.

Hmm, maybe. In another year, the Nismo will have about 50K miles or close to it so something new would prove interesting. Also by that time, there should be plenty of aftermarket options available for the 370Z.
There are many things I like about the 370. The design has grown on me, the bigger engine, the improved interior and the fact that it's new greatly appeals to me. In a straight line, the 370Z will be a good deal faster and by many accounts it may handle just as well too.
The Nismo is very unique in itself, but if one likes to mod, especially the exterior, the 370Z will be a much better platform.

Don't have a Nismo, but I doubt I would trade it if I did for the first year 370 anyway. I DO have a '07 Grand Touring, and you should know we GT guys get some of the things the NISMO guys do (like true staggered set up)
One of the articles I read said that the base 370Z can pull in the same performace #'s as the NISMO 350. Wish I could remember which article it was so I could post it.
Anyway, the NISMO 370Z will definitely out perform the NISMO 350.

In a word no.First off i don't like it's looks and while it is a little faster than the 350,you can bet that the other car manufactures have already targeted this car.As far as the handling goes i'll believe it when i see it.Imo it's to little too late.

It was the Edmunds review that stated that... The 370 is faster and handles like the Nismo Z; keep in mind, that is BEFORE the Nismo S Tune suspension!

Although, if I had a Nismo Z, I would not trade. That is like going frm a C5 Z06 to a standard C6. There is just something special about the likes of the Z06/Nismo, etc....
Word. Pics of the 370Z with Nismo parts so far are just S Tune parts. Who knows if they will do a full blown Nismo version. I suspect it will come later in the 370Z model run just like it did with the 350Z. Still not a fan of the 370Z look anyway. The Nismo 350Z looks mean and is unique.
Performance wise the 370 will take the cake. The problem with the 370 is that you HAVE TO mod it in order for it to look good. Then again, Nismos are pretty damn ugly themselves.
I'd go with the 370.
I'd go with the 370.
Well,
Far as mods on new 370z goes I think the NISMO body kit for 370z is way over done, takes away a lot of the sexy lines in the car and also makes the car look more like someone just took parts and glued them on!! just my IMO
Now far as the new updated S-tune suspension goes, we would have to wait and see if it makes that much of a deferents in the way the cars acts.
If the new S-tune setup is better then the old one, I would have no problem if it would work?? putting that on my NISMO 350z. I am still having a problem with trying to mod the NISMO 350z setup with a good after market setup that will not take away to much or leave too little:: far as a smooth ride and track like road manners.
I do like the fact that 370z has sexier lines and looks like a true DD sports car with all the tech toys of a future upscale sports car.
I guess after someone on here gets one and starts to mod. We will get a better understanding on how much of a better platform the new 370z truly is.

I don't beleive I said anything about either car being better than one another, a standard model 370 and a nismo 350 are pretty much on the same playing field, but a nismo 370 would be a diifferent story. If I was asked if I would trade my nismo 350 for a nismo 370 I'd probably say yes, only if the nismo 370 looked decent and was a limited edition model like the nismo 350.

The Nimso Z did the Slalom in 71.0 MPH as you noted above. Per Road and Track, they did the Slalom in 71.4.
The Nismo Z did the skp in .91g as noted above. The 370's best was .99g - MotorTrend test.
The 370Z is a better car overall; faster, stops better, handles as well if not better.
