They don't know squat around here. It is really laughable. After I asked one dealer about the new car, they came back with...don't you mean 350z? Same thing when I was looking at RX-8s. There were a couple of salesman that did not know what a rotary engine was. I think having a winter here must dumb down all the dealers when it comes to sportscars.

Reliable Nissan on the westside in Albuquerque will start taking orders in February and will have at least 1 showroom model in March. Apparently there's a waiting list. Anyone else in the Southwest confirm earlier deliveries?

You're a tool and a waste of space. What was the point of that comment? The guy asked a legitimate question. If you have nothing better to do then go wack off on the bathroom wall and lick up your own mess!

To the later comment, about "cartoonish cars", I agree. But, its out of place on this thread.

With all of the trucks being spotted hauling Zs, it seems like they would start arriving at some dealerships in the next week or so.

I understand not everybody that sells cars is a car enthusiast, but I'm always amazed at how absolutely clueless these guys are.

I called a Ford dealership the other day to see when they'd be getting the new Mustang, the salesman said, no not until late this year. Thing is a 10 second visit to Ford.com tells you it will be out this spring.

Interesting. I'm assuming you talked to them about this? I bought my 350Z from there and intend to pay them a visit sometime in January. Hopefully they'll have some sooner than Feb.

I have a 2004 350z that is leased. The lease is up on 1-10-2009. I have contacted my dealer and was told that they would be getting AT LEAST one 370z on their lot in January. As of today they have asked me what colors I am considering and what options would I be wanting.

At first, when I contacted them they said that the 370z would go on sale sometime in the Spring since NOT ONE was in the US at this time. I then sent them a picture in an email of the truck seen on another thread that was loaded from top to bottom with 370z's and the salesman said "Let me get back to you." After about an hour he called me back and said that he was told that his dealership would in fact be getting the 370z on their lot at the beginning of January. He said that they did not know if they would be getting 1, 5 or 10 but they would be in fact getting AT LEAST one on their lot at the beginning of January. I will keep you updated on my progress.

I have mine coming in April/May
I had to wait that long to get one, well the one I wanted anyway.

They will be available in mid January for the West Coast then move inland.
Also with the first few shipment s you gotta remember the "ride and drive" cars for all the dealers, magazines, tuners, etc.
So most of the first few loads are used for that...

Salesman are playing dumb...you only need them for a price if you want to get a car. An educated salesman is a risk to the company. If they are to assume you're dumb and looking to get a car, maybe they can coax you into a late model 350z, clear their inventory, and screw you out of what you really want.

Yup, I got an email response from the Internet salesman stating this also. I haven't talked to anyone with any real authority yet but will press them some more at my next service visit in January. These guys were supposed to get 2 GTR's but ended up canceling because of what they called a "lack of interest" in this area. I imagine this "lack of interest" or slow sales has affected where they are in line for the 370Z deliveries. Kind of sucks if you ask me...

Damn, yea that does suck. Just remember though to take the words of a salesman with a grain of salt, they're usually fairly clueless
