Any Insight On When Dealers Will Be Getting Shipments?

Saved me like $4K on my G and the Nissan discount is larger than the Infiniti

when i talked to the rep at nissan they said that they are going to start selling them the 2nd or 3rd week of jan but that they already have them and the only reason their waitting is because of the economical situation with the motor companies
I understand not everybody that sells cars is a car enthusiast, but I'm always amazed at how absolutely clueless these guys are.
I called a Ford dealership the other day to see when they'd be getting the new Mustang, the salesman said, no not until late this year. Thing is a 10 second visit to Ford.com tells you it will be out this spring.

That may be true in some cases, but the majority of them are utterly clueless. The churn rate for many salesman at dealerships is unreal, and many of them come and go every few months. Most don't know the first thing about any of the cars they are selling, and that's after the car has been on sale for some time.
I buy and sell cars all the time, it seems the higher end dealers don't have quite the turnover and are trained to a higher standard than say a Ford or Dodge dealer's employees.
12/29/2008, 1/2/2009, what's the difference anyway. I just want to test drive it soon. Hope the exhaust sounds good.

I have called every single dealer in the state of Kentucky and only 3 have any kind of idea when they are getting them on their lots. Bad thing is... Almost every single dealer has said "Well, I dont have a 370Z on the lot but I sure could get you in a nice 350Z." I've got a bad feeling that dealers are going to rape us on 370Z pricing so they can try to move the 350's off their lots.
Patience in this situation is not only a virtue, but a way to save a ton of money. It'll take a couple months to clear the 08's I'd venture to guess. I'm in Houston and we aren't as hard hit in the econ/finance crisis, but sales here are slow. A dealer here finally moved a black Nismo after about eight months.

True, but here is my situation. I am in a current 350z lease that is up on 1-10-09. So, I kind of need to know right now if I am going to get bent over and poked from behind on the 370Z and have to look for another car... I have to set up my car inspection soon or I am going to have to send in another months payment and wait until February. I have been leasing with Nissan for my business since 1986.

Actually I am planning on leasing the 370Z. I know a lot of people do not like leasing but for myself it is just better. I do not put many miles on the cars I lease, and I do not do any major mods to the cars. For example, the 350Z that I have now I pay $403.67/month. Not too bad if you ask me...
