Based on Nissan's website, this is what you get for the $4530 upgrade to the Touring model vs the Base model:

-Passenger’s seatback map pocket
-Rear cargo cover
-Leather-appointed sport seats with synthetic suede inserts

-Heated seats
-Power seats
-Driver’s adjustable lumbar support
-Digital Bose® audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer
-MP3/WMA CD playback capability
-Eight speakers, including dual subwoofers
-Radio Data System (RDS)

Lessons from owning an 05 touring: Buy a base, buy and install leather seats and HIDs, burn the stock BLOSE system, buy aftermaket sound system and enjoy.

And you would still need to add the all important and imo necessary "Sport Pkg"

Come on man. The touring is for people who like to tour around town.

For me, I'll be looking for a Base with Sport Package...from the Touring model, the only things I like are the bluetooth and the auto-dimming mirror...

Since Nissan uses a universal auto-dimming mirror w/homelink system (that almost every car manufacturer uses), I can have same exact "Nissan OEM" one installed from my dealership at cost...and then I'll be upgrading the sound system (hated the Bose from my previous Z and G35C) with bluetooth...that's all...don't need the leather seats, don't need the power-seats...lumbar would be nice, but egh...not $4530...
