2017 370Z Nismo
I have a question for the group. I found a 2017 370Z Nismo for sale that i am very interested in buying. The odd part about the car is everything appears to be Nismo but the exterior. I looks like every other 370Z, i have looked up the vin and it shows Nismo. I haven't seen a Nismo like this one before and i cant find any info on it anywhere. Do any one of you know anything about this type of Nismo?

Thanks
Mark

A pic or link would help.

Well, a few things are definitely missing or not shown (or otherwise ambiguous):
Nismo body work missing front, sides, rear.
Nismo serial number ID badge (interior) not shown
Nismo logo IS shown on tach - perhaps the one item that is consistent with Nismo interior
Nismo wheels missing (Sport Pkg. wheels shown AND they are the wrong Sport wheels for the year - these are pre-2013 Sport wheels)
Engine is missing top cover (Red = Nismo)
And the price is definitely not 2017 Nismo price. Expect it to be at least high $20s for a '17 Niz
I'd surmise - as Trav points out - that with all these items in question, it "could be" a Nismo but that has been completely rebuilt with non-Nismo parts. If that's the case, ehhhhh, personally would walk away with too many inconsistencies. But maybe go talk to them about it and see what's what. But everything seems to point to this being an earlier Sport model - wheels, brakes, optional rear wing. But weird, no matter how you look at it.

Not a Nismo..
2017 year Nismo had the nice red Recaros.
There's no Nismo engine bracing.
Also everything else that Mic stated.
It's looks like a Sport Touring with random Nismo parts added... I would steer clear of this.

The whole thing is confusing, I agree with everything you guys are saying. I went to vindecoderz.com and enter the vin just to see what it would say and under grade it has it listed as Nismo, which really confused me. it is missing so much i was wondering what they were trying to pull.

To me, it looks like someone basically said," Eff the next guy" and sold things off it to make easy cash. Can't really see any other explanation, the VIN lines up and who is going to pull the instrument pod to ADD a Nismo speedo? It may/may not have the Nismo suspension and exhaust still on it if that's the case besides how are YOU gonna sell it as a Nismo when the time comes???
Walk away. 2 cents.
