Default Fuel Door

Taken from another post...

What the hell is that? I saw the 370 in person and I was amazed at how gargantuan the fuel door is. Its at least 10" in diameter if not more and is *** ugly. Why hasn't anyone else mentioned this?

Edit: I just noticed almost all of the pictures are from the other side and don't show it.

Probably has to do with the larger flare. If it were smaller the pump handle would probably sit on the fender and no one wants that scratching the paint (fragile enough as it is).

Yea I've missed the mark before and chip the paint around the edges. The large fuel door isn't really a big deal. What's interesting is the release latch is not with the push button anymore, but you simply press the lid to release it. Of course, once you lock the doors the fuel door is locked as well.

I bought a 370Z last night. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to open the fuel door. LOL. I kept looking at the manual and the section on the fuel door just talked about all the different ways to unlock the doors on the car, and I was like 'what does that have to do with anything???' Hey, it was 11pm when I did this. I was tired, okay? ;-)

So, you will have to touch the paint every time you want to open fuel door? Scratch magnet.

Do you have long fingernails? Yea... my dad's Xterra is like this as well. There's no release latch button as well... just press one side of fuel door to lift it out. BTW, is it a metal lid this time?

I also like the new door handles. It feels more sturdy and a tad more compact.
