Buy a 350Z or 370Z. Until then enjoy your RSX.

yea..I had no idea what that was about. o.0

Btw Vette is a great car to have I would love to have enuff play money for one. For one of the posts that I read the vette in my opinion is not a super car. Its just a fast sports car same as the 350z or the 370z now.

I checked out the new 370Z at the local dealer down the road and it is totally awesome. I didn't get to drive it but it looks so much better than the 350Z which I liked but always felt it was not finished, especially the triangular tails. The new interior blows away any Corvette interior, in design and fit and finish. The instruments and everything look great at night too. There was a TV show a while back which gave a tour of the Corvette factory and it was a joke compared to what Nissan does in the Tochigi factory where the Z is made.

I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on a base C6 being better than the 370Z w/ sport package at anything other than a heads up drag race.

if anyone thinks that a base corvette inst better in anyway shape or form then a 370z you are retarded. About 4 months ago i traded in my 07 350z for an 08 base c6 and the difference in looks , power ,performance and handling(yeah i said handling)as well as interior design and features are WAY more then noticeable.Hands down the corvette is way more car then the 350z. Unless the 370z is 3 times the car then the 350z with the hr then im gonna go ahead and say it doesnt compare to the c6 besides when i see a 370z run a 12.0 quater at upwards of 119 on street tires with out a penny in mods i might be impressed. not a biased opinion either coming from owning z and loving the car for the time i had it

Umm, yeah i agree with pretty much everything there and the OP. 370z is a GOOD car but for $42,000? Ill take my Vette in black please. Is Nissan INSANE? Smells like 300ZX stuff...

EDIT: In further thought, I think the mass market just found a wall between what we are willing to pay for performance and the next level. I.E. $45,000 Vette blistering performance with so-so luxury toys/goodies/plush. Or $42,000 for a MUCH slower car but better plush in a 370Z. With thse price differences the 370Z should be MUCH closer to Vette performance but its not. Its miles away. I cant justify a MINIMUM of $42,000 for a 370Z the way I would like it. But for $45,000 for a Vette I can and might.

LOL @ dealerships thinking they can mark anything up in this economy. 2009 isn't going to be any better than 2008 was. I might just trade in my 03 for an 09, if I like the way it feels once I test drive it, but not for 40k.

First off, you're discussing a Z33. Secondly, you didn't mention anything substantial other than it's obvious power advantage. A whole bunch of nothing in this post.

About the only thing the vette has over the Z is power. It seems the 370Z w/ Sport Package is pulling similar numbers to the vette in every other category. On top of this, it has better interior, and IMO looks better exterior-wise. I'll take a fully-loaded Touring 370Z over a base vette any day. Also, it's kind of hard to take you seriously with your atrocious spelling.

You probably prefer the C6 because of the numb steering, truck like transmission and flexing chassis. By the way, the 370Z doesn't cost 42K. Base 370Z can be had for 30K. Base + sport package is 33K. That is 15K less than the base LT1 dumbass.

GM Interiors dance circles around Nissan interiors.

Default 370Z driving experience

I drove one (370Z base w manual transmission) last Friday around the block from the local dealership at less than 55mph (local roads).

The most noticable change is the turning radius is much smaller and the mid-range torque is somewhat increase. Also, the steering is more responsive (could be due to the shorter wheelbase). Clutch engagement is smooth and linear. It should be better car for the autocross. Rear view is worst than the 350Z.

If I could just get pass the front bumper cover!

Except that you can get a Vette for under 40k these days. Where have you been that you didn't know that Vettes have been heavily discounted for the last year. If they were selling for MSRP this whole Vette vs. Z thing wouldn't exist. The fact is that the Vette has dropped and the Z has gone up in price. This makes for competition between the two.

Saw one at the dealership in Salem! ...

It was fully loaded with Nav and everything. I love the wheels. Anyone know off the top of your head if they will fit on an '07? Unfortunately this one was an automatic Still a very sweet car, the sharp lines to the window trim has actuually grown on me.
