How long before we see a redesign on the 370?
Actually, if you think you can do better than the design engineers at Nissan why don't you apply for job there?

Why didn't Nissan just keep the original interior of the 240Z in the 370Z? I felt really comfortable with it. 370Z interior = FAIL
LOL!
370Z looks freaking awesome IF you replace the front bumper with the Zele. I would just change the front bumper and the diffuser in the back to remove the fake fog light aka a**hole.
It's amazing how a bumper changes the dynamics of the looks.

Do you guys even read the reviews? Not one has said the 370Z doesn't look better than the 350Z. Not one. And that is only the appearance. We all know mechanically it is a better car. This forum seems to exists in its own little vacuum, not wanting to accept there is a much bigger world out there or something.
When I have time, and this is at a very low priority so it may never happen, I am going to make a very long _ss list of very positive comments and reviews with links, stating how much BETTER the 370Z looks than the 350Z from credible sources of the automotive media. And, I know, you guys will argue that to death too. This issue with you guys is not winnable.
The funny thing is, if I were going to try to find one single article or review that claims the 350Z is a better looking car I think it might take me a while because I haven't seen any. Come on guys, you know it's true.
Oh, and I like the comments like, "my sister, girlfriend, wife, brother says my 350Z looks better". What do you think they are going to tell you? You car looks outdated and boring? Probably not to your face.

I worked for a supplier to Nissan and Toyota. The base development work is huge. Not something you throw away in a couple years. (Or else the cost of the car would be rediculous.)
Tweaks are never supposed to affect the crash certification of the car. Changes in the bumper cover are OK but not changes in the airbag systems or to the base structure that might alter the crumple zones.
Toyota runs strictly on a 3/5 schedule for all pass cars. Three years after introduction and then a refresh on the 4th year. The changes are almost always headlights, front bumper cover, rear bumper, tail lights, radio, wheels and a tweak to the engine by adding variable timing.
With exception to changes to the engine which requires recertification by the EPA, the other changes are fairly easy and tooling relatively inexpensive.
