I dont see this current exterior sticking around 5+ years like the 350. Nissan will probably have a new exterior design in 3 years tops.

I'm guessing you don't know what goes into launching a new design... retooling of lines among other things.
This look will be around for around the same time frame, 4-5 years. Only thing stopping that would be a disastrous world wide denial of the new look, which isn't happening. Look at the press, this car is loved.
Didn't you get the memo? Nissan can do no wrong.
Like they care about 5-10% of the 350z owners getting cranky over the headlights or whatever. Most car owners don't buy the new model when it comes out, they buy the next model... skipping a generation. Nissan knows this, they were trying to capture some of the GT-R excitement with this version, and after reading the countless praises in the press... umm.. yeah, mission accomplished.
I know many people here don't like the car, but Nissan knows, those people most likely weren't lining up to buy one anyway. Some, sure, potentially.. but most people are not in a great economic place. Not well enough to dig deeper into debt anyway, especially with banks tightening their rules and credit requirements.
Sadly, the haters will have a choice... get used to it or whine for 4-5 years till the 400z (or whatever it is) hits.

No car company will please everyone, every model will have a crowd not liking it, that's just the way it is. There are things I like about 350z and don't like about 370z and vice versa. Being picky or know what you want is not a bad thing, I know where to draw the line of my likes and dislikes. Personally, if you're so picky to the point where you subconsciously looking for "flaws" or "dislikes", you'll never buy any car.
I would bet my money on the Infiniti line, M50 and M37 are due to come out following the FX line. Whatever they will do with the G37, 370z will/should follow. G40 or 400z or whatever... But I could be all wrong, who knows, time will tell.

This forum is getting on the verge of being utterly ridiculous. Come on guys, why waste the bandwidth? You all know how long on average it takes for a redesign. This is just another 370Z bash post. Getting tiresome.
Oh, I should add. Why would they have a major face lift when the majority like the design? Not a bright idea from a business standpoint. Hmm, lets see, let's keep changing the design until we please every single persons taste. Sounds like a brilliant idea. Do you want Nissan to go bankrupt?
There will be aftermarket available that will do more for "changes" than anything Nissan will offer factory for many years to come. But I think you guys already know that.

Dude, you should submit your photo to Nissan. I am sure they will consider it. I was hoping for something like the Pacer shape on the exterior. Hmmm, we should make a laundry list of a "wish list" and submit it to Nissan so they can incorporate everything we suggest to make us all happy. Do you guys think they could have a facelift and production model finished by the end of the year??
