Default unhappy with...

anyone else unhappy with the top HARD curve of the 370z?.....

the 350z has nice round curves all around, and now the 370z has like an "L" on the roof of the car....

Are you talking about the "fastback" shape versus the "coupe" look of the 350? If so, that's another design feature referencing the shape of the 240 series. I don't like it much either along with a few other things that have been discussed many times here. In profile it makes the car look fat.

The other problem is the blunt nose which is given emphasis by the high hood line. I have read this is unavoidable due to new safety requirements that the hood of a car must be a minimum height off the ground. The workaround would be to extend the nose a bit to introduce more slope but that's hard to do with the 370 since it lost 4 inches in length.

It's for these reasons and many others that I will wait for the next Z to be released (if we still have an auto industry that is).

I think the new Z looks much better than the 350z.

Look the fact is that everyone has different opinions on looks. No need to post yet another "looks" message about the 370z.

I think the problem with all the new "I don't like..." threads is that a person reads a thread that they agree with but instead of adding their agreement there, they start a new thread so it will get attention. This happens on all forums regardless of the subject matter. It's a problem that goes with the territory so to speak.

I think I'll start a new thread about people who start new threads to get attention.

i started a new thread in the sense that the "looks" thread below has over a dozen pages...

more specifically (relating to topic), the hard curved roof is the most noticeably changed feature on the 370z

Don't sweat it. I have no objection to all the threads and often wonder why so many get uptight about them. I think you made a valid observation that reflects how many others feel which is why I replied to begin with. The other guy chimed in so I replied to him...and so on...and so on.

It's a wonderful thing this Internet is.

Yes it will and believe me it's not a pleasant thought. For all we know, Nissan could drop the Z in the coming years or turn it into an electric car or something. Who knows.

IMO the back is not very nice...
side view the 370 looks a little awkward...

the rest is really nice though, definitely more aggressive

Side view looks awkward? Looks better than the 350z IMO.

And to the OP, the fastback design is a classic Z design which all others Zs share except for the 350z.

Why dont you show a 07/08 GT or Nismo to compare. I believe the picture you posted is a touring with the sport package.

Your comparing a Nismo which is considered the track hardened version of the 350z to a refreshed model that just got released. If your going to compare something, compare SIMILAR items...

350z is to 370z as Evo VIII is to Evo IX

You guys are worse than G35 owners comparing it to the G37, sheesh.
