Thanks for posting, but like others said - the weight is measured with all fluids topped up, including petrol. That is at least how I remmeber it.

Still, given the numbers you've provided, it indicates that the weight that the mags are returning looks about right. ie. about as heavy as the last of 350Zs, and a feir bit heavier than the original 350Z.

Good to know they kept the weight the same.
That is AMAZING considering all the hefty cars out there.

Look ath the new 3950lbs Camaro.
The new Evo MR is HEFTY as all get out s well.
The new crash standards for this year are really whats killing the weight on cars.

Goes to show how much lighter materials and such were actually used.
Can't wait to get mine, my G is a TANK compared to it

+1, regardless of the speed of cars it's nice to drive a car that doesn't drive like a boat of sorts.

I weighed an 09' base with sport package 4 days ago: 3280 pounds with no one in the car, 1/2 tank of gas, +/- 20 pounds.

+60lbs gives you a weight of ~3340lbs. On point to other weights.

And there it is! I read this in every single thread discussion the Z's weight. This same statement was used to explain the weight gain from 05-06 as well. Can you point me to the crash standards you are referring to?

Am I skipping over articles about these in car mags? Am I the only one not on the NHTSA distro list?

All I could find on their website is this:

Statement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration On Implementation of Five-Star Federal Safety Rating Program

NHTSA has decided to postpone implementation of the Department's new 5-star Government safety rating program for one year to begin with Model Year 2011
Thanks...I feel so out of the loop.

Only on paper and to bench racers. In the real world you don't have to roll around with 20 gallons, or 19 gallons in the 370s case.

There are advantages to a bigger gas tank. Weight distribution, cruising distance, etc.

BTW, i dont hate the 370z, i'm just not the typical 370z fanboy. I've seen them, driven them, not impressed.
Wow, you want a gold star? If you don't give a **** as you claim, why bother posting garbage in the 370 section? Go fanbois in the 350 section.

This is a mute debate becasue No stock 350Z does 4.6 0-60 and better overall handling Stock everyway you slice the 370Z is a better sports car then the 350Z. Dusting a N/A Cayman heads up.

I love my 350Z but numbers don't lie.

Didn't take long until we got to

The 370Z is better than the 350Z.
