do Zs go in the snow
davidv....everyone knows that the search function is seasonal.....why would snow come up on the search during the summer?!?!? Much like, why would someone be surprised that their sports car handles like *** in winter weather on SUMMER tires.
I guess if it's your only car, you might try this, but I can't imagine buying a Z as a primary, one & only vehicle for Central NY, where I live. I kept my old '02 Blazer. People ask me if I traded it in when I bought the Z and I ask, "Are you crazy?" Besides car-topping my canoe, hunting, fishing and several other things the Z was never meant to do, I count Winter as a major factor in my decision to keep the old SUV.
I drove my 350Z Enthusiast through the last winter. Snow tires are a must though (I have a dedicated set of 17" rims), and I also kept two sand bags in the trunk. Took it to Whistler for skiing many times.
Ground clearance can be a problem, and I got stuck on a residential street once in hard-packed snow / ice, but my friends helped me push it through
You need to be careful while driving on icy roads though, and a FWD with winter tires will do better. Having said that, 350Z brakes very well on snow/ice (due to the electronic brake force distribution I believe).

snow tires do not make you drive better in snow. that being said your ability to drive in the snow, regardless of vehicle, depends on how much experience you have in doing so.
