I particularly like the demonstrations on the wet track. I am sure many of us have similar experiences on the street.

Is that the sport model? The wheels seem to suggest it's the base 245/40.

They don't get the 19" wheels in Australia. If you notice, the car does have the big brakes and he is using the "Synchro rev Match." So yes, it has the sport package.

That's right ... and not sure if you can option them. In Australia we have only 1 model, and that comes with manual or auto.

The same. Why would it go any faster? ... afterall, it does not speed up anything.

Well if you speed up shifts, then you speed up time to put power down thus speeding up your drive. So your wrong here david.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would it speed up shifts? Shifts will happen as quickly as the driver makes them ... synchrev or not.

I'm pretty sure no matter how good you are at heel-toe, you're not going to get a perfect downshift every time. With the sync-rev on, you can get a perfect downshift so you don't get any engine braking which means faster lap times. I suspect that it would be a tad faster w/ the system on.

The synch rev system just rev matches the engine for you, that's it. Any "real" driver can heel-and-toe to do the same thing.

Maybe YOU can't heel-and-toe, and so I guess it's a relief for you.

good vid, very impressive track time

interesting show of the traction control, I would like to feel the difference myself, the traction control does come on rather roughly sometimes

hmmm, I would think that (in particular on the track), you would only down-change when you're braking anyway. So even if you do get the odd engine braking, it should not impact your time as you're slowing down at that stage anyway ... actually the engine braking might help with the braking (if anything).

Most of these so called "real" drivers believe they can heel and toe everytime they downshift, but we all know it to be not true. That syncro-rev system does it perfect everytime but, nothing beats the feeling of a perfect heel & toe.
