Am I the only one who thinks the 370Z looks much better than the 350?

If someone called my car cute I would be very sad...
I dont agree with a lot of the exterior design changes...but with a zele bodykit, drop in ride height, some rims-it looks decent...however if they made it a 370z performance wise with the 350z exterior it would be a good start..

As for the second part of your statement I disagree. Not to sound like EVERYONE else but I think the Zele and Branew kits make the 370z look very handsome.

Yes, you are the only one.
(Notice how almost everyone here has ten different exterior mods they would have to perform to make the 370z look good. It is awkward styling, and it probably won't last.)

There's nothing absolute about either car except that they are both Z's.
I prefer the 350 as do others here and we all have our reasons just as there is a population of people here like yourself who think the 370 is better looking.
For me, the 350 looks coordinated in its design. It all ties together nicely in form and function. My impression of the 370 is that it's a mixed bag (some good, some not so good, and some outright ridiculous). Bottom line is it does not seem to me to have it together like the 350 does.
I really don't know what the standard is for a car to become dated except exceptional age (10 years or so would be my guess).

Actually, I think the 350Z is a nice looking car but it is simple and basic. The 370Z seems to look more "upscale" and "pricier" to me and would attract those who like a car with more flowing lines. A bit risky but I think it worked out well for Nissan. Both cars are design successes through my eyes but the 370Z is more my taste.

of course the majority of 350z owners are going to say their car looks better. i have a 350z and i also have an open mind to appreciate the beautiful design of the 370z. stock for stock, put both cars side by side and let me know which one your eyes are drawn to.

...what the heck is dated? I hear this being thrown around like it is something of a factoid.
Of course if you associate a 350 with the dates it was produced, it is dated.
If the body style of the 370 came first and the engine, suspension and transmission changes of the 370 were now wrapped in the 350 body, well then wouldn't the 370 be dated?
This stuff is all very subjective and that term dated is thrown around way too much w/o really defining what it means, IMHO.

The 370Z has grown on me, with fangs and all. Once you understand how it was designed, you appreciate it. If you dislike the fangs so much, a great mod is to paint it flat black or add vinyl on top of it. Otherwise, the only thing that sux about it as far as aesthetics is the red butthole. They got cheap and simplified the manufacturing, which is really only good for the Euro market.
To me, the folks that are new to the 350Z thinks its better than the 370Z but after you get used to seeing the 350Z and then see the 370Z in person, you'll be like OMG!
370Z + coilovers + wheels w/no gaps = OMG!
Google DannyGT + 370Z and you'll see what I mean.
