Am I the only one who thinks the 370Z looks much better than the 350?

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the return or the turbo in the Z but as long as they stay with the V6, they'll have my attention.

As many have stated, I feel like the Z33 has a classier look to it, with smoother lines and curves, whereas the Z34 has much more aggressive styling. Both look amazing, but I feel like 20 years from now the looks of the Z33 will have more appeal to a more people than the looks of the Z34.

I owned a 1972 240Z and a 80's turbo, can't for the life of me remember the year.

The 07 I have now is so much better in every way its unbelievable.

I have to say I even like the looks better.

What about the materials used? I had an 86 300zx, and I think it was a better-built car than my 350z. Of course, I should expect that considering that my 300zx costed over $25k in 1986, which is like a car costing over $50k now. The metal used in the body construction, the interior materials, everything felt more solid on my old Z. Plus those early VG30 engines are known to go over 200k miles regularly.

Don't get me wrong- I love my 350z.. but it doesn't feel as substantial as my old Z31. What I do love about the 350z is the speed and handling.. far superior to any stock Z31.

My thoughts exactly.

I just wish I could transport the 370Z interior into my 350Z and I'd be a happy camper.

Exactly like those two. It's funny you posted those pictures because that was exactly what I had in mind when I posted my first comment.

No thanks. I'll keep my 07 interior. I don't like the attempt at making the interior in the 370z upscale. It doesn't impress me. I'd rather have a more utilitarian interior with just the things that I need/want. I don't need leather and/or vinyl, foam, and cheesy stitching slathered all over everything for me to feel good about the interior. Nor do I need a gimmicky fuel gauge and little "hoods" on my center gauge cluster pods. Also, the steering wheel in the 370z sucks IMO. I like the 350z interior better.

i like parked my 350 next to a new 370 at a dealership.. both chrome silver
they were both sitting on angles. and i walked around them and stared for some time..

my conclusion was I liked the 350 better.. but thats just me.. I like how they changed a few curves on the car.. and flared out the fenders/quarters.. but thats about it

I parked my DB next to a stock daytona blue 350 which was parked next to a stock Monterey Blue 370 and i stood and looked at the subtle exterior differences between the 2. I still like the 350 but the rear end of the 370 has grown on me and i've accepted it. But the front still looks horrible. the bumper and the headlamps just need to be revised again or rather tweaked.

What were your thoughts on the Smurf blue color? I have a Daytona Blue 350Z and can't believe Nissan discontinued it. I get lots of comments on my car (stock) on the color alone.

Anyone got the year by year sales numbers for the -Z- line ?

Most popular style should equate to most units sold ?

370Z vs. 350Z...the debate will continue but essentially I think it can be said with reasonable certainty the 370 has a few problems. Odd layout of gauges, poor selection of instrumentation, horrible side profile, snub nose, fangs, lights, bulbous butt...to hit the high points...and I'm being kind people. The car is not unique. It is a design cloned from two previous models that has gone sideways. On top of that, it's supposed to be smaller and lighter and yet it looks huge in real life and even bigger than the 350 when compared side by side. The design went sideways. Probably ran out of cash and had to put what they had in production to recoup the R&D investment.

But all this aside, people will still buy it and there will continue to be those who think it's the bee's knees!

Yeah alot of people always compliment the uniqueness of the daytona blue. IMO it's one of the best colors nissan ever created for their cars. It really stands out in a crowd.

I agree the 350 vs 370 war will continue until the day the next generation Z is released and addresses all of the concerns from previous generations. AND Hopefully it will come with a stock twin turbo this time!

^ So that's how a 350z looks like when it gets bit and turns into a vampire.

Nope, you're not the only one! I think Nissan improved upon the 350 in every aspect, they chopped off that horrid tail end, made it wider, lightened it, made it stiffer, more powerful, gave some flair to the front end, to include the grill, added the blinking Z markers on the side (love it!), added sychro rev match (only car in the world with this technology), I ordered mine 4 months ago and it arrives next week! I ordered a black one, base w/ sport package and illuminated kick plates. Coming from a girl, I just think its sexier! I'm trading my G in for it, and thats saying something!
