I am still torn. I like the look of the 370, no doubt, but it isn't enough to make me want to get rid of my HR.....in both looks and performance. The 350 still gets looks and the 370 isn't leaps and bounds better performing than the 350, at least not enough to make me want one........yet.

BTW - I test drove a 40th AE 370 the other day. Sorry but not impressed at all. But I LOVE that color and the wheels look nice. Liked the interior, hated the gauges. Might wait a few years and see what Nissan cooks up.

Default towards Z refinement

lexus LFa would be a good idea source for improved Z lines, inside & out, period.

I like the roof line of the 370Z, but the 350Z has a better nose, tail, headlights and tailights. I mean who wants shark teeth and boomerangs anyways .

It's been almost a year now and I still don't quite like the 370z lines even though I want to.

Some of us are socially conditioned to be attracted to the latest offering of the Z, but given the choice to upgrade, I would just go with a different car entirely.

I don't see myself admiring this particular body shape a couple decades from now.
BUT with that said, it's awesome and refreshing to see a modified one, so kudos to those who mod them.

I personaly dont realy like the 370z that much but I do love the nismo 370! It realy needed the longer nose to flow with the styling of the 240z roof lines. I own a 08 Z and I love the simplicity of it! It has a nice clean sports car look that isnt over done. To me a 350z slammed with wide wheels and a lip is the absolute look I truely love out of all of them. I havent seen that many z34's skammed with nice wheels yet but I cant wait! Maybe my opinion will change?

BUT Best looking factory Z in my opinion is by far the Nismo 350! It is so perfect in every way! Its simple yet aggressive as hell! I love them and I wish I had the extra $ around the time I purchased my 08.

370z will never look as good as the 350z.

If you look at the proportions of the 370z it just looks like a caricature of a car. While I think it's cool that it has hints of the datsun 280z, it fails to implement it correctly. The lights and tail lights are horrid. I wish they just kept the old version exterior and upgraded everything else.

=(

I am, of course, biased since I've had 2 350z's.. One was a silverstone 2005, the other is my current Magnetic Pearl Black 2007. Truthfully I think both the 350 and 370's are good-looking cars compared to most of what's on the road.. however--

One of the things that I love so much about the 350z is that while it looks like a seriously sporty machine, it also looks classy. I don't find that to be the case with the 370z. I think the 370 looks much more boy racer-ish. I hate the headlights, I hate the taillights, and I hate the "shark look" or whatever they call the front bumper. IMO the car took a step away from classy and a step much more towards a Hyundai Tiburon or something.

While I acknowledge that some of the interior materials have a higher-quality feel, I don't know that it's really a step in the right direction for this type of car. I like the interior in the 350z better overall. The gauges in the 370z are awful (especially the fuel meter.. WTF is that?!), and I think the center gauge cluster looks unnatural with those little "hoods" on them. Overall I think a Z-car is better-off with a more utilitarian sports car interior like the 350z had.

In general, I like the looks of a 2007 or 2008 350z better overall. This isn't even taking into account other things about the car.. like the vq37vhr engine oil overheating issues that plague many owners who track them. Just last week I was at the drag strip and a fellow Z-owner who had taken a few passes in his 370z said it was running too hot. 350z HR FTW

+1 I've heard this quite a few times from unbiased non-Z owners, who if they didn't see the "Nissan" badge, would lump the 370z with any other "goofy asian sports compact" designed with a bunch of contrived lines.

The 350z initially had lots of presence but with simple lines that fit in any situation...from the track to the golf course.

There are people who think otherwise, but they're usually in the minority.

A guy at work has the 370 NISMO. It's a great looking car but to me it just has a totally different style. I like the 350 because of that mix European and JDM style. To me, that's what makes the 350 a total unique car.

I think I'll wait and see what the 400z looks like.

If they hit 4 liters, I'm done. If they ever change from a 6-cylinder, I'm done. If they want more power in the future, they need to use turbos!!
