Default 350z HR VS 370z Video

So i have been looking for a while now, and still cant find to this day, a video of the 2 cars going at it in a drag/or even on the street. Come on someone with a 370z, get a friend of yours to volunteer for a science experiment to see how much either car is faster. Ever since 370z came out, theres been a lot of talk, but no action.

make it happen!

i would throw a 300zx tt in the mix as well... that would be more fun.

Honestly, i want 370 to be faster, i want to like it and i want to want to buy it, but it just dosnt look appealing to me, styling is off, and seeing how 350 competes against a new 370 is just dissapointing...

perhaps twin turbos would fix the issue as well as a tagra top?

even from a dig, the 370z launches crappy but the power advantage reels in the 350z and pulls away.

lol. from the videos at the top, the 350z wasn't stock, but the 370z quite likely was.

i think the video that Tac-M posted sorta settles it for now. The 300Z was its own car in its own time....and it was wayyy to advanced for 90 or even a 96 model. The 350 and 300 are totally different cars in their own respect but when it comes to bolt ons the Z32 is flat out better. I will agree with the original post though, I would think that there woulda been a lot more vids out by now between the 350 and 370...

That 370 has intakes though. Makes a difference. The nismo is putting down less than stock power

Truth of the matter is, the 370 has more power across the whole powerband, is lighter, and with better gearing. It SHOULD be faster. The fact that an HR 350 can stay close seems odd to me.

You must hate the 350Z interior then.

Actually your are wrong. The 300zxTT was good for 13.8-14.0 while the 03-06 350z was good for the same, no neither is faster than the other. Just depends on condition of the car and driver skill. The HR 350z is good for 13.1-13.6 depending on what mags or owners timeslips you look at. So in that regard the 300zxTT is not the same as the 350z HR, but actually slower.

And no I'm not an HR fan at all. I'm just a guy who has been in to Z's for over ten years while owning or driving pretty much every model Z out there. Give credit where credit is do and let rumors die. The 300zxTT was a powerhouse back in the 90's but compared to the 350z it is outdated, especially when comparing it to the HR. As for the 370z, give it time. Just like the HR 350z, I'm sure people will start showing what it's capable of doing in the right hands at a good track.
