You haven't seen the 370z forum much then.......it's just the opposite there.

 

Nothing even close to bashing of the 350Z happening at the 370Z forum. The guys over there rarely even mention the 350Z and when they do it's just to say things like they find the 370Z much improved because of this and that or like it better because of a specific reason. Not like over here where you had whole threads with people posting inaccurate info and posting things like HR 350Z FTMFW... The people over there aren't concerned about the 350Z. Unless you're in the market for a used car the 350Z is the past. Posters at that site are talking about the present (370Z). The climate at that site is like this site in 2002...

Here's my take on the 370z and 350z (not that anyone asked), aside from my nurse shark post. Purely aesthetics:

Stock 370Z > Stock 350Z
Nicely Modified 350Z > Stock 370Z
Nicely Modiifed 370 = Nicely Modified 350Z
Z33 Nismo > Z34 Nismo

I am having alot of trouble finding a red 370z seems like they just didn't make that many of them and theres a higher demand then the others

 

common dude your a shop so you should realize that the previous gen for awhile will always have the edge on aftermarket parts (for a bit anyways)....

they have been able to put out aftermarket parts for the vq35 in the 350z for 6 years now. If the vq35 didn't have an edge over the new vq37 then I would expect their to be somthing seriously wrong with the people making aftermarket parts for the vq35

 

they're all saying... "hey buddy, you need to upgrade"... lol

 

I think you misunderstood my post (or maybe I phrased it all wrong?). Here's where it's at: They're BOTH z-chassis cars. Peeps need to chill out on the hate against one another and team up. My post was created to relay that. Neither should be hating on the other because:

A. They're both z-chassis cars (this isn't an arch rival's argument) so Z33 guys shouldn't hate on their successor.
B. Z34 guys can talk about aesthetics and some OEM engineering advancements but they can't front anything else yet because they haven't out performed their predecessor.

Yes, I represent a shop and realize what you said has some validity. HOWEVER I think that the learning curve will be much less for the z34 because we've learned a great deal about the VQ from z33's (dont' forget, it's STILL a VQ in the z34). On the other hand, I think that the VQ35de's should be further advanced than they are right now. If the economy would have kept on a positive course from '04 - NOW there would have been MANY more builds and therefore shops who would have had almost unlimited funds to reach 2000whp and 7-second 1/4 miles. Sh it, it's a larger motor than the 2jz-gte and a lighter chassis.

/dumb debate and my dumbarse posting in it
