Default Test drove a new 370z touring yesterday

Beautiful car...i really like the new looks but that's where it ends. Comparing it to my 06 touring model the car just doesn't seem as peppy. Of course i was driving it easy but still not impressed. The seat doesn't go back as far in the 370 either. I had it all the way back and barely enough room. Doesn't have the nice exhaust sound like my 350 either. One thing i REALLY like is the new wheels - these are the 19in ones that come on the sport option. Wonder if i could put a set of these on my 350?

lol, i have a G37, and i feels so much faster then my 350z ever did in a N/A form. You're either smoking crack or you have your 350z blinders on. The 370z is a superior performing car, period. Looks are subjective but performance hands down the 370z. Not even a contest especially compared to your Revup and a DE.

I know what the numbers say...just speaking from my "seat of pants" experience. Not enough there to give them my car plus $20k.

I test drove the auto and i felt a lot more low end torque. The ecu probably had no experience of driving style and WOT. Plus, the engine was not loosened up.

Although the 370's whp does dyno higher, it doesn't have much more torque, but the powerband is much flatter.

I'm gonna have to say you definitely didn't punch it at all. I'm honestly amazed at the number of people that say they don't have much power and are a soft ride. I just traded my '05 Touring for an '09 Base w/Sport Package. I'm sorry, but this thing gets it when you stomp on it and I can't see where people think it's a soft ride.

I would say i drive my 06 semi-aggressively on a regular basis. Most shifts are around 4k rpms. I'm 48 yrs old and rarely "stomp on it" as you say. I drove the new 370 pretty much the same way and didn't notice any real difference in performance. If there was any i'd say it's lacking in what i feel in my 350z driving under the same conditions. I really wanted it to be more because i was seriously thinkng about trading.

I now have both an 03 350Z and an 09 370Z Touring with sport package. Even though my 350Z has a lot of NA mods, the 370Z definitely has more power and a flatter torque curve than my 350Z did stock. I do think the 370Z has a better ride and is maybe a little softer sprung. That is one reason I have already added Stillen sway bars to my 370Z. The 370Z OEM exhaust is also pretty quiet. I fixed that with a Borla exhaust. By just adding an aftermarket exhaust you can really change the way the 370Z sounds.

The biggest improvement the 370Z has over the 350Z is the interior. It's so much nicer than my 03 350Zs interior in terms of quality of materials and in terms of the overall design.

Sounds like my brief 370Z review. Remember peak torque is about 5,200 RPM. I do little daily driving at 5,200 RPM.

The looks have grown on me and I'm scared to test drive 1. I'm not in the market for a car right now and I know I'll get sucked in. I keep telling myself that I'm fine with a 350.

It does not have that magical tune that the 350s have for sure, and yes, the wheels will fit your 350.

I thought the offset on the front 370 sport wheels were a +47. Do they need spacers for the front?

I did. Sold it after 3 years of ownership and bought a 370Z. I just like Zs more.
