Test drove E92 M3, Audi S5, and 370Z. Likely trading in 350Z for 370Z.

german cars never have flashy interiors unless they're exotics, even then its rare to find flashy interiors. Thus thats probably why you found the M3's interior bland.
If money's not an issue, the M3's the way to go in my opinion. at the end of the day, the resale on the M3's is amazing. you see 03 M3's still selling for close to 20-25K.
I'll admit though.. i'm bias towards european car. My current Z is going to be my last japanese car. Once you get your *** in a european car, japanese cars feel like they are built out of cheap plastic.
Cruising in an E92 at 160mph feels so stable and effortless. The steering wheel is small like the 'keys/personal jdm brands' with a thick grip. the seats can be adjusted to hug you tighter than bride/recaros. Can't wait to pick up an M3 next year...

Faaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwk! >=(
I got approved for such an amazing loan, but the dealer that was supposed to hold the car for my dealer sold it! I'm so pissed it's not even funny. This is the second time this has happened to me.
4 years ago I had a deposit down on a 6MT 2006 LS2 GTO and it was sold. There's another fully loaded Black Cherry 370Z available, but it's too far out and it'd have to be driven 650 miles. =(

We'll see, maybe we'll split the cost of delivery.

Yeah, but it would have to be out of my pocket. Because they're already buying the car off the dealer, on top of that selling it to me for invoice. They aren't going to make a whole lot on me - $2K on the sale, and about $2K assuming my 350Z sells sometime quick (it's winter time). So that $500 is coming out of their pocket on a deal they're already being more than fair with.
We'll see, maybe we'll split the cost of delivery.

Btw: Regarding performance of the 370Z, a bolt-on + tune 370Z ran a 12.3 @ 111 in Florida. There's a thread about it on the forum. But what impressed me was that his best trap was 113MPH, which is just absurd. That's actually slightly quicker than what an E92 M3 will do stock and that's just downright incredible.
The amount of power left to tap N/A on the VQ37 really solidifies this as my car of choice.

geez.. you are comparing a 370z to an M3 and an S5? Do you realize you could buy (2) 370z's for the price of (1) M3 or (1) S5? it's like comparing an M3 to a F360 or Gallardo.. sure the M3 is just as quick as those cars and has a V8 too but damn.. that's a different league..

And all cars rattle. Except maybe Lexus.

Because I can get a certified M3 or S5 for a little more than what a loaded 370Z costs and still have over 3 years of manufacturer warranty on either car? But after driving all three I came to a conclusion I myself didn't expect.

But I have to disagree with your price post, the 370Z I want retails for $42K. The M3 I'd want retails for $64K new. Buying two 370Zs would be $84K.
Either way, like I said. The other two cars would've been pre-owned if I bought them.

I'm sorry for having an opinion?
Is the 370Z a better car? No, but it's what appeals to me more. It's more mod-friendly. Insurance is a ton cheaper. It also doesn't have back seats that friends will inevitable try to squeeze into.

My buddy has a e92 M3 6 speed...
He has had his mechanical issues with it, syncro's went in I forgot what gear and something went wrong with the rear differential.
Its a hell of a car and we have each driven both cars and he has nothing but good things to say about my car. Of coarse I love driving his, feels a touch more stable at high speeds which is impressive because my 370 feels great as is , but the M just feels a bit more planted. Hanldling is a touch more responsive and feels a little more aggressive ( lack of a better word ) but it doesnt blow me away.
Would i trade my Z straight up for it ? Sure. But is it worth the extra 30k ? I'm not sure.

$64K retail for an M3 coupe is pretty stripped. So you are comparing a stripped M3 vs a fully optioned out 370z? no wonder why you like the 370z's interior better.

Navi
19" Wheels
Heated Seats
Park Distance Control
iPod Adapter
Pretty much all of the options I'd want for this car, and precisely the same options that come on a fully loaded 370Z. The nice thing about BMWs is that a lot of them don't force you to get packages that throw in a bunch of unnecessary features. You can pick and choose what you want. Sure, you'll have to wait 4 months for your delivery, but it's still nice. And even if I tick off all the options, excluding transmission, it's still $70K. Well below $84k.

Yes. Found another one, fully loaded 6MT, and this one is locked in for sure. Shipping company has been found. Going to the dealer on Saturday to leave final deposit for delivery. Woo!
