figure out what model, option you want. then send email quotes to all the nissan dealers around you with your basic info (credit score, down payment). Tell them that you are sending the same email to all dealers and whoever gives you the best deal, you go there.
this is how i bought my last car.

no, there are different models (check out nissanusa.com). Even if you want to pay off right away, you shouldn't. dealers tend to give u better deal if you finance. You may just want to do that and pay off the next month. Make sure you get loan w/o early payoff penalty.

Why get a 2011? There are probably a lot of 2010 models left over at dealerships if this area is typical. There's probably not much difference, except that the deal on the '10 will be sweeter.
With cash, you could even get a good deal on the 2010 GTR that's been at the local dealer since fall of 2009. I'll be glad to drive it to CA for you, if you'll pay for the return air fare and expenses.

@OP , were you ever in the military? If so and you use USAA for insurance you can buy it through them for close to 10k off. Well..it might be a little different for you seeing as you live in CA, but I've been looking into 370's after my friend lost his in a divorce but any chance he gave me the opportunity to drive it, it was like having sex. Back to USAA though, as far as trim levels go I was looking at a Touring with Sport package with all the bells and whistles. Through any of the stealerships up by me the way I wanted it ran about 44-46k. Through USAA on the other hand I was looking at 32-33k.

Don't get 2011 MY if there's a 2010 MY leftover. Only difference is a rear monitor if you're getting the NAC package. I could have bought a 2010 one but I didn't like the color and they put NISMO bodykit on it. I got a 2011 one.
