Nissan announces 370Z ‘GT’

Special ‘race-themed’ edition gets suspension tweaks and, most importantly, big stripes
Nissan has announced a ‘GT' edition of its rather manly and muscular 370Z coupe, called, funnily enough, ‘GT Edition'.
Built to celebrate Nissan's global success in GT racing and 40 years of Nissan Z cars appearing on UK roads, the big lug's dampers have been tweaked to make it more comfortable at high speeds that are ‘routinely enjoyed in Europe'. Manly and muscular Autobahn stormers, take note.
Elsewhere, some manly and muscular GT stripes have been attached to the sides, you get manly colours like Kuro Black and Black Rose and big manly 19in RAYS forged alloy wheels.
But some limp-wristed types appeared to have greenlit some new equipment, including a reverse parking camera, a ‘snow' mode for the auto-box that sets off in 2nd in slippery conditions preventing manly wheelspin, and refinements to underbody insulation to reduce road noise. This is not manly.
Prices start at £35,000 - nearly £6k more than a standard V6 370Z - and it's available to order on 1 June.

Why bash the 350 z nismo when it's two hundredths of a second slower around the track with fifty less horsepower then the 370z nismo. They are both great cars. I think the 350z nismo will eventually be more desirable then the 370 z nismo. Bottom line they are both a step up in looks and performance so get your facts straight. Why bash a 350z when this is a forum for 350s. Interestinggggggggg?

I think it's a great car, in all reality, and can be tracked with a minor investment no problem. I would daily drive the hell out of one if I didn't need my back seats, I love that car. in comparison to the 350z nismo though - hardly getting your value over a non nismo model .. there's nothing special about it. it would not be difficult to tune / mod the car for an additional 20hp. in my special model cars - I want improvements in area I can't just do myself.
the basis of my comment came from the ding dong saying this is just as pointless as the nismo 350z - and then praising the nismo 370z.
the 350z nismo edition actually came with a lot of desirable improvements and is pretty rare, the 370z on the other hand seems like a mass produced generic upgrade, with Nissan grabbing for more money.

Not bashing the Nismo 350Z, but the only modification that a regular HR Z owner would have a difficult time duplicating is the additional structural reinforcements or extra welds on the frame. Aside from that, it's fairly easy to exceed whatever rebadged parts Nissan installed on the car. In fact, if I were fortunate enough to have a Nismo 350Z, the first thing I would do is replace that hideous rear bumper.
