All Wheel Drive like Audi?
I see no point in all wheel drive other than a sedan and wet weather and boo...ie, G35x and G37x are awd...makes sense, its sedan and AWD is an option...again weather, etc...
Im not much of a fan of the GTR either, but theres your Nissan AWD, why didnt you by that?
For a sports car like the 350z/370z it best be rear wheel drive and a computer you can dissconnect and control fully....
I think the Z would lame awd....
what concerns do you have that you want AWD on a Z of all cars?

Wow, I test drove the Nissan and after that the Audi. HUGE DIFFERENCE! Especially in the cornering. To each his own but there is a reason Audi has updated the entire line to making it standard on some models and an option on others. Lexus and BWW are finally catching on.

AWD makes a lot of sense. However,I don't see the Z moving in that direction.
As mentioned, the G's have this as an option.
IMO,I think its a bit short sided to view AWD as a feature only needed in
rain or snow.Having driven(and owned)several cars with AWD,I can attest
of their fantastic handling characteristics over standard RWD cars.
Some people give an opinion without actually driving a AWD car.
Get behind the wheel of a AWD Porsche and you'll see what I mean.

I don't think AWD would be a viable option for the Z. Infiniti has the G though available in AWD.

I switch between FWD (wife's car), AWD, and RWD on a daily basis. Both AWD and RWD are fun in their own ways. I get bored if I stick to just drive one type of car. NA RWD vs FI AWD is another can of worms of discussion all on it's own.
the AWD sports coupes are usually only offered in the luxury brands. buy the g37x coupe, problem solved. Remember there is a difference between AWD systems and most are developed for the northerner's daily driver market. The GTR and 911 4's are different. In nearly all of the luxury brands, the AWD counterpart is usually slower and worse handling due to the added weight and power reduction, since the engine is kept the same.

If you really want to argue what is better for performance cars, just look at all of the race cars (on roads/tarmac, rally doesn't count). Let's see, F1, Nascar, Lemans, Touring Car, V8 Supercars, Drag, what do they all have in common? They are all RWD.
I love when some of my friends talk smack with their Audis and Subarus with "I'm faster then you when it snows" okay good for you, your faster then me maybe 4-5 days out of the year, what about the other 360 days?
