They're equal in price.

The GTR doesn't sell at MSRP and you have to buy another transmisson for $20,000 because it's transmission won't hold up.

I know I am going to hate myself for responding to your statement, but here goes anyway. How many of the few ZR1s that have been sold already do you think were sold at MSRP?

LOL..

Sorry, but the ZR1 could be made from ubertanium, have 1000whp, and weigh 2500lb, and it would be so undesirable to me. I just can't get over the mid-life-crisis vibe the car gives off.

OK, I am ducking out for now.

Edit: And to the OP Dilsher....if you even THINK of getting one, I will kick you in the nuts when I see you next time.

2k over old MSRP in California 3 weeks ago - that's what I paid.. There are MSRP cars available all over right now, sorry to disappoint.

As for the trans "issue" - nice to see another internet mechanic repeating ********.

Nissan engineers are closing the gap between the ZR-1 and the GT-R... Price-wise, that is.

I just read about the 2010 model year proposed price increase.

Is GM going to be able to make a 2010 ZR-1?

Yeah but I think the ZR-1 is capable of faster than that stock.

May as well watch a video of a 370Z and GT-R on a road course

I think we should all get one for free if we're paying for them to live

I think those are the magazine times. Given the Z06 has gotten to 10.8 stock, I'd hope eventually the ZR-1 will be faster. I still wouldn't want a Vette though

A regular 911 - you want to have by far the slowest car in the group? Or a 911 TT which is far north of 100k?

Also, I paid $75k for my GT-R, not anywhere close to 100k.. Or are you counting the high markup some people paid? How about the mark ups people are paying on the ZR-1 and ACR's? You can't compare a marked up price on one side against the MSRP of another when you can't purchase it for that.

One guy got a 10.8 at MIR on a stock Z06 with drag radials.. Great time and props to him, but he is the exception. A Z06 with stock tires in the hands of a good driver is a mid 11 car.

I know the history, but what do most of them run.. That is the important metric.

There is only 1 race that matters - heads up same day, same track. Everything else is bench racing numbers that should not be compared because of the variables of track condition and weather.
