Default South Side 820hp GTR....

From the little I understand it's a core change. You have to send your TT's in and they pull and re-install the new Garretts. I haven't read what needs to be done with the fuel system.

I'm also wondering what is going to get shredded with that much boost increase.

BS.

$7k for the turbo exchange only. Not including ecu, injectors, piping, fuel pump, tranny upgrade, possible rebuilt motor including pistons, rods, etc etc. plus tuning, labor, etc etc...

$30-$50K minimum when completed.

piping looks like it remains stock, may need pump/injectors but who knows yet, be conservative on the boost, get the COBB and a tune, thats it, go for it alex.

"Anybody looking to race for pink slips and evade police chases would want to get the South Side Performance GTR820RR Turbo Upgrade Kit. Anybody else might find that kind of power to be unnecessary. "

i found this comment pretty amusing.

You are right about some of things you have mentioned.
I don't want let the cat out of the bag too soon, but I am currently in the process modifying the turbos. Though turbos have been installed along with few other parts have been developed and installed, but car has not been tested yet... They are NOT the ones offered by SSP, BTW.

Switzer in OH is working on my car, so far we realized so many weaknesses in the stock GTR. From intercoolers to radiator, to injectors and few more things. In fact, to take full advantage of the stock set up you need to modify few things on the car, and if you were to mod the turbos, you would certainly need a list of parts.

Not to mention the labor. Boy, Nissan made it very complicated to work on this car. Just to install the turbos the engine has to come out.

Anyway, I am excited and looking forward to all the things all the different tuners are doing.

American tuner South Side Performance has created a turbo kit capable of boosting the Nissan GT-R up to 820 horsepower.
