Default 11.25 too fast for track......

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

reaction: .615
I1: 1.789
I2: 4.805
I3: 7.275 98.917mph
E.T. 11.25 122.213mph

First pass didnt really get to mess the car at all. Ran 11.25 and they said i couldnt race anymore .
Need a roll cage, 5 point harness, and fire jacket lol.................

I was hoping to get my 10's with Sharif's tune but they didnt give me a chance to try to improve.

man thats funny in the best way possible. I'd say im sorry, but I'd be lying.
You should get one of those drift boxes or something. As a matter of fact, your transmission would be a hell of a lot safer with a bit less traction.
but summation i feel your pain...
I hope you aren't going to put a cage in your car, are you?

Yes an 11 sec pass does feel like a sunday drive on the track but wouldnt you want to be safe at those speeds especially driving it on the street could be the difference between walking away an being being carried away. A good legal cage is a fraction of the cost of what it took to make an 11 sec car so just do it safety first.

here are the 2 ruels for street legals at Oreilly raceway part in indianapolis (where they had nationals this year)

18. All drivers running vehicles 13.99 or quicker MUST have a full face helmet meeting the SNELL k98, 2000 or 2005 rating.

21. If you run quicker than 9.99 seconds you must have an NHRA license.

those are all the rules for times here locally. Pretty much all other tracks here are the same. Nothing about a roll cage until you get into having an NHRA license.

Maybe someone got seriously hurt there before forcing them to adopt the cage rule?

My friend Paul runs 9's in his Skyline all day long with no complaints from track officials. They like his haircut.

Kinda retarded if you ask me...

In the grand scheme of things, if you crash and explode at 11.2, you aren't going to be any better off than crashing and exploding at 10.9.

The times are awesomely different...but just saying in the grand scheme of things...

Congrats on a great run though OP

Congrats on the time! I'll say this though about the safety regs.......wont be long before stock cars are in the 10's right off the factory floor....I used to remember when 13's was FLYING for a stock car, now it's common place.

I think the rules are geared to "track only" type cars that are stripped down. A factory car that runs 10s would probably be a very safe vehicle on it's own without the need for a rollcage.....on the other hand a heavily modded stripped 1970 GTO running 10's I could see needing a rollcage
