Saw this vid the other day. Good kill. But true, if the snake had better tires it'd prob pull ahead...but then again if the godzilla had...Ford's fault for putting those tires on not Nissan's

 

Hm, all that power and it is still in the high 11's low 12's. Why don't they come stock with a better tire?

Whose fault is it that the car can't make traction on $500 a tire 60 Treadwear rated (yeah 60) track rubber. Are you kidding me...tires... the problem lies a little deeper. What's worse the ZR1 doesn't have this problem against the GTR. With less horsepower it is able to overcome the AWD disadvantage and post a substantially higher trap-speed than the GTR, where Mustang barely matches and slightly betters the GTR with 200+ more horsepower. Sorry to break it to you man, but Ford created a beautiful dyno queen.

Sorry if this comes out wrong because I like Mustangs, almost bought one, but this car is a performance disappointment. There will be circumstances that this car will own a GTR but this aint it.

 

^^ I agree the super snake was built to make huge numbers, but can't really back it up on any sort of track.. But, you also have to remember that the zr1 comes stock with a 12" rim and 335's opposed to the super snakes 10" and 285's.. That is a large amount of rubber on the back of that zr1...

 

I was also disappointed in the mustang, embarrassing. Never knew tires make that big of a difference.

 

The stang looks GOOD though. I like that the drivers matched the typical owners of each car
