In my opinion its worth the extra $2000 for the touring roadster.

Only thing I didnt get was the Navagation System... Was not worth an additional $2000...

By the way i'm 6'-4" and 233 lbs.. and I fit like a glove in it
Hi B2SZ, That price jives with mine....I have the Nav. and you're right, not worth the 2Gs......But since I'm a gadget nut, I "had to have" the darn thing......Also, you must be sportin' around in an '05 because the 18s were an option on the '04 roadster......You have M/T or A/T? In '04, A/T was a hefty $ option....

I'm 28 and I love my roadster even more now than when I bought it 6 months ago. I also wanted a PPW (and I kinda still do, especially every time I see one), but I really wanted the ZR and couldn't wait for an ordered one to arrive. No dealers in CA, AZ or NV were willing to trade their PPW ZRs and I wasn't willing to drive 300+ miles to bring it home. Anyway, I paid $36,150 with no nav and no 18" wheels. It was about $39,700 with CA tax, title, etc. I pay about $215/month for full coverage insu. with good driver, multi-car and anti-theft discounts.

Good luck, donmeca2020! I was also a Honda guy. I've had 4 different Hondas over the last 12 years.

thanks Omen, i can tell im going to enjoy my stay here at My350z.com You all seem like a much more sofisticated crowd, also alot nicer then the people on Clubrsx. only thing you see when you go on their site is someone being flamed every post, or just something stupid. but thank you all for your help. and i cant wait till i either get 350z roadster or coupe. i know i will be happy with one of them.

Its a 2004 model, the dealer ordered it with the 18" rims.... I had to wait 2 months for it to arrive... Its hard to find a black 6MT with the Orange/Black netted seats... Well worth the wait tho.. Figure your going to spend close to 40k might as well get exactly what you want....

Ya the 04 A/T was like a $1200 option... I never buy A/T's in my cars tho... one of the reason I went with the G35 Sedan was that it had the 350z 6MT with the small shifter.. usally in sedans you get stuck with a shifter from a school bus, all tall and stuff..

As far as Insurance, they only hit me an extra $600 a year for full coverage on it... and I pay about $1000 a year for the sedan... so $1600 a year for two cars is not bad...

If you shop around you can find a good deal. I just picked up my 05 touring roadster this week from the dealer after waiting for it to come in. I got mine fully loaded with the 18" wheels and the nav system for $38,050. I believe the MSRP on the sticker was $40,730.

I totaly agree with you....Spending any amount, you should get what you want......The wait part was the hardest part for me :-)....I also like M/T, the last Maxima I had was a 5spd.......What a bunch of fun that car was........Practicle, mature, yet sporty and fun to drive....See you on the boards, Dave p.s. I think we got lucky....between you and me, I would have paid the option price for the 6spd....can't believe that's the standard vs. A/T
