Maryland Performance Works has been doing clear bras for a while, and they did a bunch of Zs off of the site, I think, back when the Z debuted. I've decided to bite the bullet and am scheduled for Monday. Will report back.

Solomon's Island, huh, netman? Absolutely stunning! I'm in Upper Marlboro.

BTW, I was at Passport Tuesday. Michael Allen told me they aren't even letting people test drive your former roadster! They're waitiing for the "right" customer, which I guess means they're going to be real firm on the price.

Funny thing happened while I was there. This guy had bought this Ultra Yellow coupe the previous night. He was back, this time with his wife, who apparently did not approve!

I filled out their form for a clear bra quote this very morning. Will call them later on to discuss getting mine done, have absolutely No marks so far and would really like to keep it that way (wishful thinking I know).

Interesting they do not want folks to test drive my former roadster, guess they do not want to take the chance someone will mess it up. Just called my salesmen to see if they received my 2nd set of keys sent in the mail, and learned they have her listed for $34,900, which is right about what I expected. Bet they sell her for $34,000.

Guess that guys wife was not at all happy!
Although I did not do so, some guys better take their wife to buy a new car! Personally, I am not a fan of the new Z yellow. Super Black, White, and Le Mans Sunset are my favorite color choices.

When summer arrives you will have to come down to one of the fine seafood places we have on Solomons for lunch, our two Z's together would make a neat photo op!

Update: Got them on the phone and am also scheduled for Monday for the full deal ($995) 4 hours after your appointment. Will be tough to let her sit in the garage until Monday, but I am not tempting fate on the road between now and then. - Thanks for the info!

$38750, is that OTD price or before sales tax and license? Because it if it OTD, then that is a great deal!

Sounds like a plan.

Yeah, that's what I decided with the clear bra, too. If you do a search, you'll see lots of info from where they used to communicate on the forum about it. They are 3M dealers, too, so it's a quality product.

I actually misspoke. I looked at my contract again, and it's $38,618, which I don't quite understand because I come up with a slightly higher price if I compute it with all of the invoice information that's available on the Web. But even that is misleading because Passport is giving me the kick plates due to an error on their inventory list. With all of this taken into account, the real selling price is actually a little less than invoice. This is all before TTL, which really doesn't amount to much. If people are getting better deals than that on the Z Roadster, they need to share!

Was able to move my clear bra install to Noon Friday.
The Z will not be confined to the garage all weekend.
