I couldn't own an automatic sports car. Defeats half the purpose of owning it.

I avoid rush hour traffic by driving to and from work in off-peak hours. On the plus side, my boss was impressed that I got to work before everyone else at 7:15. He thought it was initiative. I just wanted that end-of-the-row parking space before the crowd showed up...

My 04 is a 6MT and I have no regrets as I rarely drive the car. My 2012 Mazda 5 has a 5 speed automatic that works great and with the manual shifting feature, I can hold gears in a turn which is why I like a MT. Current automatics work well so there's longer a need for three pedals, a big plus for anyone with large feet who can't easily dance on three pedals. It's also nice to be able to brace myself during aggresive moves with my left foot on the dead pedal instead of sliding around in my seat. A drive in my friends 2012 Mitsu EVO autoclutch pretty much spelled the end of my clutch obsession. My 03 Mustang GT is an Auto and I wouldn't even consider a muscle type car with a stick. I've driven sticks for 20+ years, I have nothing left to prove and the novelty is getting old. I used to bash on the Auto guys and make fun of them, now I have a better attitude and don't care what others think or drive.

My 04 Roadster is a 6MT im also under 35 (22 years old) . I love it...I love heel toe'ing before a corner and the feels of the notching into a lower gear while the throttle blips. I do alot more of autocross and drifting......You cant really clutch kick with an automatic. Just saying =P

Sports car with auto is like a dropped Hummer on low profile tires.

When I was looking for my ZR I had a few requirements:

-Heated leather seats
-Xenon Projector Headlights
-6 Speed Manual
-Black or Orange

Mission accomplished with my black/black 05 ZR with a 6 spd.

Simple mod that cost 15 bucks for my auto. It also clear the opening of my head unit. With stock shifter, the screen could not slide out fully in park position because it stuck by the shifter, now it can. Really like it. Its my daily driver so auto is good for me.

You'll probably find that 80% of roadster sold are Auto's.... Being that older people buy this car and prefer the auto... I bet the guys here that bought 6MT are all under 35
I'm 49 and I have 6M.

Bought mine with an auto... always had a stick, but got such a good deal I couldn't pass it up.
I don't mind it. Sure, the manual is more "fun" but I don't think you can go wrong with this car. That 3.5 is so much fun... 6 speed or auto!!
