Default Debadged the Roadster

Finally got the ***** to take off the front and rear nissan logos. Take a look:

I had debadged my previous car too so this wasn't new to me. The key is PATIENCE. All this work took me a total of 4 hrs. I started working the badge with cotton thread and a blow dryer. The longer you heat it up the easier it gets to take off the glue, so don't rush it! Afterwards, get some 3M adhesive remover and soak the spot. Use a microfiber towel and rub the area. Throughout the whole process, i did not use my finger to pick the glue, and the results are well worth it. Afterwards i followed it up with Meguiar's Swirl Remover 2.0 with PC and worked the area for a good minute... then polish... then blackfire... then here it is, flawlessly debadged with no swirls.

As for the front, the positioning of the logo was relatively easy. I tried to line it up with the top line and just let the logo fall into place by itself, it was perfect in one shot =D.

Looks really good. I've wanted to do this to my 04 Roadster but have been concerned about "ghosting" in the paint after the rear emblem is removed. How many miles were on your car when you did this? I've got 30K.

1800 miles haha. But i don't think there will be "ghosting", i did this on my IS300 with like 48k miles and it was perfect too.

You can always put it back on if "ghosting" is a probelm.

Nice work. I want to do this too but does anybody find it a little naked in the middle without a badge?

The aftermarket badge's all have Z's in them and I find it strange with two Z's on the back. Too bad NISMO doesn't have a badge that looks like the nissan burger (but maybe smaller) with NISMO in the middle instead of nissan. Maybe that would look gay too - I don't know...

the only thing i miss is the usage of the nissan hamburger as a handle to close the trunk lol. Before i took the logo off, i photoshopped a few pix and did think that it was naked without the hamburger. But seeing it in real life, it looks clean.

Here is a pic of my debadged roadster...

I balanced it out with a NISMO sticker on the other side.

I use the emblem as a handle too. LOL I'd have to touch the paint to close the trunk without that emblem! And we can't have that. I may take off the 350Z though.

That happened to me too, but ever since I installed the spoiler, the trunk slams shut without me having to push it down, so it worked out!

All that to close the trunk. That little hook hurts to grab.

What's that box on your dashboard...looks like it'd hit someone on the passenger seat if the airbags went off.
