Default 2004 NAV System ... Motorized Door ... ?

Does the NAV System in the 2004 Touring Roadsters have the motorized door? Or is that a 2005-Only Feature?

For the motorized door, I dont think so. When I shut off my car with the door open, it automatically closes. Im sure you can wire it to have it open or closed as you want it.

it's probably cheaper to get the Pioneer AVIC-N1 / N2. but to answer your question, I don't think it's doable..

My '04 doesn't have a motorized door...is there a way to add just the motorized door and not the NAV?

When searching for the answer to my question originally, it seemed as though the general consensus was that if you wanted the motorized door, you needed to go with the NAV unit ... I just wasn't sure which year the motorized door started ...

btw, are you using the KAC-420 Alpine iPod interface? I find searching on it to be slow ... I opted for the 12b line inputs and just use the iPod for selection now ... or do you have a newer head unit? They said the 2005's would be better ... ?

Yea, I have the interface. Searching can be slow but I usually just pick a playlist and let it go. That's when I actually use it. I use satellite more than anything.
