Well, do you wanna drive something that's really fast and looks gay, or something that's almost as fast and looks hot?

Better question....do you want zit-faced teenage boys thinking your car is hot, or every chick on the planet thinking it's hot?

Get an EVO 8!

You're young, obviously you see yourself in it, so go for it!

I simply couldn't see myself in an EVO, it's not my style but if you CAN then why not? You can also lug all your other friends around who don't have driver's licenses yet.

You'll probably go broke modding one horsepower for the Z anyway.

I know I am.

Im voting for the Evo (AWD imo is safer, harder to lose it) just cuz your 16, and if your 16 with a semi-powerful RWD car your gonna kill yourself. And I dont wanna hear about "Ill be responsible" cuz any 16 year old in a Z will eventually mess around-actually any 16 yr old in any car will mess around. If I had a car as fast as the Z when I was 16 Id be dead, I was bad enough in a slow Ford Probe. My advice, get something nice that isnt as fast, like say an RSX-S, mod it with Hondata, and bolt-ons later, and learn to drive (easy 13's), then after a few years with a quick car move up in the world

In my opinon the 350 for sure, I dont know that much about Evos but my friend has a 3000GT VR-4 and has a lot of problems with it, like the AWD destroying the clutch. And I dont really like Mitsubishi.

He's got a good point. I'd be dead too.

Plus it's tough to push these cars to the limit and not make a big mistake. You're better off honing you're skills on a less powerful car, if real driving is what you're about.

I would say the exact opposite. I found AWD to be much more difficult to keep on the road compared to RWDs I've owned. I've never owned an EVO but I have owned an STI and currently still have a WRX along with my 3650z The reason AWD is difficult is the way the differentials work. The car can go from understeer to snap oversteer very quickly. It also goes from feeling like a RWD to feeling like a FWD very quickly which can be extremely disorienting in an emergency. The 350z is far more intuitive when it comes to being able to readthe car.

I think that both cars have too much power for you. I would personally get a used car maybe something like a Civic SI or a RSX. I think you want a car to start modifying yourself and put turbos, suspension, & others. The EVO and the Z is not a practical car for you as of yet. Get a car that you can work on and have fun with. This is what was I started with 91 Civic SI, 93 MR-2, 97 Type-R, 95 Supra SE, & finally the 04 Z.

^ +1

these cars have too much power for someone learning how to drive. Go with a beater or something and work your way up. Trust me, it'll be better in the long run.

Yea at 16 he will spin the Z out and crash. This will cause all of our insurance to go up even higher!!

Friggin' learn to drive first. Not just how to turn on the car and drive but how to REALLY drive!!

You have a negative rating and a 3650z. Can we trust you?

buy the evo, it is too painful to see crashed up Z's. and considering the power to age, it will most likely end up wrecked.
