Includes a/f...Might reconsider....Cost is high!

I hear there is another place 2 pulls for 50. Not sure what kind of Dyno they use...

I know dynopacks quote high number since they don't have the wheels on. Mustang dyno's ????

Any ideas????

Just wondering why you are doing a dyno if you are not modding the engine?

Are you just curious?

Isn't it a documented fact that not every Z comes out with the same power? From what I've read some are quite different stock than others. I'm curious myself about the one I just bought.

Yea, that is true. There are so many variables involved during production.

Bonz-

There is a place in Girard PA called Power House. They use a Mustang Dyno. I bet they would let you run wild on their Dyno, Bonz. Dyno in 5th!!!

I just want to get a baseline before I start to do any crazy mod's I wanted to Dyno before I put on my Borla but didn't know there was a local place near Erie.

Plus I hear that if I slap on a few APC, NOS and HKS stickers on my car I gain 15-20whp!! lol

I'll post friday the results

Ok results are in...On this Mustang Dyno I pulled 230hp @ 6300 and 210 @ 4300.
I was kinda upset with the results but the owner said that his Dyno usually gives 5-10% difference in the numbers. Factor in the difference you would get aprox. 250whp. Also the difference in can be see with the weight of the vehicle. Since I put on the Borla and went with the lightweight SSR's this number could be different. He recomended that next time I goto a truck stop scale and get an acccurate vehicle weight.

We ran some 1/4 times and to my surprise....13.3 @ 104. He said this number is usually very accurate since it is measured by time and distance.

It was interresting to talk to him about different types of Dyno's that are out there. For example Dynopacks usually are 10-15% over what is really seen since it removes the drivewheels and is bolted right to the hubs.

He is going to e-mail me the actual graphs and once i get them I will post.

Yeah but on a dyno there's no such thing as wheel hop right? 13.3 on a basically stock Z would be a pretty amazing time.

If you launch it correctly. He launched it at 3,000. He kept his foot on the gas the WHOLE time.

BTW Bonz- That was dyno'ed in 4th.
