Default Subwoofers in Roadster

I am about to have a stereo system install, and my question is regarding the subwoofer location for the roadster. Im planning on using a 10" Infiniti Kappa .

Where does everyone have their subs? In the stock bose location? How was the enclosure made, and most importantly, how does it sound. I've heard that placing subwoofer in the stock location in a coupe does not really sound good because of it being in the middle of the car. Roadsters should be different though. The other alternative is placing it in the trunk. I'm not to fond of that idea... Please share any ideas, maybe pictures. Thanks

visionboy-
I've seen pictures using the stock location(s) behind the seats, mounted either horizontally or vertically. I saved a pic of Scott Webbs showcar if you want me to email to you. I have to finish my performance mods, then I'm going to work on the sound system, too.

Stock sub location for me. But mine is in a custom fiberglass enclosure so it sounds BANGING.

Thanks, Scott. Saved me from having to post/email those photos. That's still my favorite install!

I have a JL 8w7 in stock location. Just a regular sub box made it to the JL spec volume and it sounds really good to me in that spot.

JL10W3v2 in custom fiberglass box in stock location. Sounds great. More bass than I know what to do with. Most of the time, I have the sub output set to a -4 setting.

Is anybody manufacturing these custom enclosures, or is every one of them a custom install?

Threw a 10" Kicker in mine...

I added foam to dampen vibrations (loud buzzing) made by the stock sub cover; however, it's difficult to eliminate vibrations from the stock enclosure - will take additional modification. The buzzing doesn't happen unless you turn it WAY up. With wind noise, you can turn it up louder before you notice it.

It's nice to actually FEEL the bass behind my seat now.

Purchased and installed at Circuit City.

$120 Sub (Kicker 10" COMPVR)
$330 Amp (Kicker 470 Watt KX 400.1)
$145 Misc wiring accessories (includes remote bass level control)
$55 Install

$650 TOTAL

I've been searching for weeks to find an answer to this. I just sent an e-mail to Automotive Entertainment. I'll post their reply when I get it.
