Anyone here put their tops up when it's TOO DAMN HOT outside? I know how hard it is, but sometimes when the sun is directly on your head and your temp gauge says 95+ degrees, do you put it up?
I've done this a couple of times. I'd rather not bake (ESPECIALLY in traffic). Do you guys just tough it out?

Hell yeah, I put the top up in 90+ degree heat...
I went to Palm Springs last summer in Aug, left Irvine CA mid morning (low 70's), got to the bottom of the 111 in Palm Spings at noon, 100+ degrees...
Yup, I pulled over turned the AC on and put the top up...
It's not fun to drive when all you can think about is how freak'n hot it is...
I love the top down, wind in my hair, sound of the exhaust note, but I need my AC w/ the top up in 90+ degree weather to keep me cool...

I usually put the top down in the morning commute to work and evenings when the sun starts to go down. If it's during the day regardless of 85-100 degree it stays up. The heat from the sun and also the dead air that gets trapped from the engine/tranmission area, the AC is on!

People give me the strangest look when I have the top down whenever it's 70 degrees or below. I'm from the east coast so anything above 55 is considered "warm".

I don't put the top up until I am burned too bad. As for too cold, I drove my last vert in a snowstorm with temps around 15 degrees. I got a nice escort service by the state boys from Illinois to the Alabama state line.
Yep...>90 degrees and >90 pct. humidity in the noon day sun on pavement in traffic isn't fun. Although, windows up and a/c on can help and is what I do (sometimes). I hate NOT to have the top down when it's not raining. Heck, I even drive in the rain! It takes pretty much a scorcher for me to put the top up. Therefore, I try to avoid the heavily traveled roads.

It's been close to 100's here. I don't have a Roadster but I do have a SB Z with black interior and boy oh boy it gets hot! Forget about driving with the windows down in this car, the hot air from the engine compartment will find it's way into the cabin.
There is a nice advantage I have in this kind of weather...N2O
