Not one of these threads again. What you will find is that coupe owners will make childish comments and bash roadsters and roadster owners defending themselves. Coupe owners will say how it looks like crap with top on and roadster owners will say it doesn't matter because they didn't buy a convertible to have the top on.
My advice: If you've always wanted convertible, go for it with the 350z roadster. I think everyone should have a convertible once in their lifetime. There's nothing like driving without a roof

Most days I love my roadster, only the days I go to the track I hate it.

I absolutely love my roadster. It is a pure thrill machine. However, it can get tedious after more than about 60 minutes of continuous driving. Traffic noise does get to me after a while. Of course, when I didn't have a convertible, I really wanted one BAD. Now that I have one, I don't know how much I would miss it if it were gone.

There are two types of srivers in this world: those who love driving topless and those who do not. It is not a thing that everyone likes, kinda like caviar. Eiterh you enjoy it or you do not, I have yet to meet someone in the middle. For me, this is my 4th vert, so I am biased, and thus will not give my opinion (take a guess), but I'd say drive them for yourself and see how your experience. I'd go so far as to rent one for a weekend, not necessarily a 350Z, but any vert, and see how you like it for a weekend, or even better, a week. If after a week you find that it fits your lifestyle, I'd say go for the vert, but if not, go coupe.

I have first had experiance with both cars.
Like I mentioned before, I use to own Coupe for about 10 months before Nissan took/bought the car back.
I had both Coupe & Roadster at the same time for about a month. Everytime I woke up in the morning to go to work, I had a choose what car I was going to drive for the day.
If I were to buy a Z again, I would definitely go Roadster. NO QUESTION ABOUT.
The only thing I don't like about Roadster is the trunk space. You think Coupe has little truck space, wait until you see Roadsters truck.
Other than that its a great car.

Hey,
I have a coupe, but wish I bought a ZR. I didn't have a garge during the time of purchase.
Almost traded it in a few times. I am waiting for the next Z model roadster for sure.

again, it really depends... have you ever been inside a convertible? because when my ex introduced me to convertibles, i fell in love and promised myself i'd get a vert as my next car.
a year and three months later, i'm loving every single moment i drive the car -- especially with the top down.
oh, btw, if you don't like people staring, don't get a vert :P
