Default TCS and hosepower ?

Does anyone know if the traction control alters the ecu at all, when i switch it off the engine seems to sound more grunty, I know it will cut horsepower if the car starts to break traction but is it my imagination that performance seems better overall with tcs switched off.

When needed it also applies brakes to the wheels without you knowing. And even when it's off, it's never really 100% off.

Since you're imagination is working, I would just pretend that it's a turbo button. Press it in to go faster.

Only had the car 2 months and have accumulated enough points that i only need 1 more speeding ticket to lose my license for 3 months so maybe i should leave it on !
