i had a 98 porsche boxster which i trade in for the 06RT. you are looking at german vs japan. i think you know which feels the best on the road, but you must understand what is most important. When you are in the highway or any parts of the road and you want to boot it, you will be out raced by many cars with the z4. however it comes with class and the name. you will have an 04 which means way more $ for maintenance. since you are even considering the nissan, i think you should go for it cause you like the car for its performance not just the name. and you seem to be concerned a bit about money so keeping it in good shape will be easier on the nissan.
