Angry Anybody have these problems???

I have a 2005 Roadster w/11k miles, AT, and all the options. Here's a list of the problems I have so far:

1. A/C switch. a/c turns on eventhough switch is off.
2. Auto Navigation Door. Hit button and it does not open(sometimes).
3. CD player skips when car is cold.
4. Idles and runs rough.
5. RPM's stick at abot 2000 when stopped or jump upto about 2000 after
stopped at redlight, car wants to lunge forward. Happens about 1/wk.

WTF is up with this? Anybody have any of these problems?

I have an '05 Roadster w/11k miles as well, though mine is MT so I can't answer your last question. I don't have a nav system either, sorry again.

1. You need to set your third climate control **** (fan speed) to something other than auto. Keeping it on auto will turn on the A/C all the time. My **** set up is AUTO for the first (closest to you), 73-74 for middle, and OFF or LOW SPEED for the third.

3. I don't have this problem, maybe you can get it fixed at the dealer under warranty. I did hear of others having this problem as well on this forum, try a search for it.

4. When I first turn on my engine, it runs at around 1200 rpm, and it sounds harsh turning on as well. This is only when the engine is cold. When it is warm, everything is fine and runs idle around 700 rpm.

It's unfortunate that you have these problems. I'm very sorry. Such a cool car and stuff like this happens and it makes you doubt, especially for a '05 model, which is supposed to have most of these issues corrected.

1. A/C switch. a/c turns on eventhough switch is off.
--> Normal.

2. Auto Navigation Door. Hit button and it does not open(sometimes).
--> bring to dealer, ask them to cut off the circut, it will open 24/7. I had it done on my car like that.

3. CD player skips when car is cold.
--> Don't know since i replace my HU one week after i bought the car

4. Idles and runs rough.
--> Check with your dealer

5. RPM's stick at abot 2000 when stopped or jump upto about 2000 after
stopped at redlight, car wants to lunge forward. Happens about 1/wk.
--> you can feel it but they shouldn't go up to 2000. Check with your dealer.

+1 to most of the resoponses

1 - Normal (don't use auto, and in deforst mode the AC will also kick in)
2 - Warranty
3 - There has been some discussion on this before (do a search)
4 - Depends how rough you are talking. Did you come from a BMW? Then yes it will be rough. Otherwise......warranty.
5 - I have MT.

Odd, I thought it was just the other way around. Who needs a steel roof; not us men!

I have a 2004 roadster with 18k miles (man).

I have a similar problem to No.4. Mine sounds a bit rough when I take off (sometimes only) and makes a bit of a clanky noise when I turn the ignition off. Im getting it checked out by my dealer.
