300 hp
I've read that the 2007 ZR auto will be 300hp, but right now I'm thinking of getting an '06 roadster. I had an '04 ZR and traded it, but really want one again.
I did a search, but really can't find the answer to the following.
What is the easiest way to get 300hp with the '06 engine and still keep my warranty?
By the way, I have a "05 G35X, which I will keep as my daily driver, and although the engine is pretty much the same, there is no comparison to the Z.
Thanks

It's just that living in the city I found it hard the enjoy the car without having to drive 30-40 miles someplace where there wasn't a lot of traffic and noise.
Also I did not care for the heat during the summer days.
However, after I traded it I began to miss it and now I think I'll go into it with a different attitude, including not worrying so much about the car itself. I found being overly concerned about the car actually ruined the experience.
In other words, a more carefree attitude
Should have kept it, because I took a wash when I traded it. It was the fall and the market was dead for a car like that.
Just don't know yet if I will wait untill '07
Live and learn.

You can make up for the difference with intake/exhaust/plenum spacer.
I am looking into the UTEC to fine tune my n/a mods.

Jim,
The best way would be to find a Mod friendly Nissan dealership... By this I mean something like Frederick Nissan in Maryland. They will install and warranty all their work. This of course means that you will need to only deal with that dealership... BUT it gives you some mode of protection. Of and Gene is a car freak so be sure he will take care of your ride the way you want it treated.
Otherwise, if you are willing to accept a manufacturer’s warranty, maybe try something like TurboNetics. I have friends that swear by them and how they back up their single turbo kits. Of course, if you blow the engine, that is not covered.
Just tossing out ideas.

The difference between 287hp/274tq and 300hp/260tq is a wash, just buy the car whenever you're ready.
In fact, I heard the reason the auto's originally stuck with 287/274 is because the additional torque performed better with the auto. Now they probably just said forget it and raised it to 300hp because it's better from a marketing aspect.

Since you already took a loss on the 04', I would just wait longer to see what the next generation of the Z brings... You don't want to buy a 06' then fall in luv with the 07'/08' when it comes out and then lose more money...
Far as I know there are no stats about the future Z yet. Usally Nissan keeps there lips tight on info like that. Hell they just showed the production version of the G35 sedan and still have yet to release the HP #'s...

Actually thats a better idea then buying a new one... You might be able to buy one for what you sold your old one for...
