A lot of car enthusiasts think the Roadster is ugly...
Everyone always says the Roadster looks funny, especially with the top up. I disagree, I think it looks AWESOME. It has unique styling.
Anyways, I've only driven the car three days, since I'm on a business trip in Japan, but after reading a Car & Driver review where they negatively commented on the looks, I started to think.
The last weekend I drove the car, I would just drive it through a parking lot and I could hear people commenting about the car. I never had that in my G35 (or maybe I couldn't hear it). None the less, the Roadster definitely turns heads.
Mine is pretty much stock with Track rims and a grille, but it turns heads more than anything I've ever driven, or any of my friend's cars, including M Roadster (Older one), S2ks, and Boxsters.
Mine is pretty plain jane, I imagine some of you with some real nice mods get all sort of attention:

Compared to the coupe, the roadster loses with top up, but with its top down I beleive its sexier then the coupe... I always get people doing a double take on my roadster... I have strangers coming up to me all the time asking about the car... Besides in the end the roadster is more fun to drive then most other cars
<---- thats what I look like when I drive it

Ya but I know very few convertables that look good with there top up... Besides the only reason to have the top up is if you get caught in the rain...

I kinda agree. With the top up the rear of the car looks too long. The coupe is much better proportioned. With the top down the ZR is spectacular.
Being able to have an open or closed car is worth the slight tradeoff in looks with the top is up.

How about some front shots with your grill. I just got a silver GTR 2006 and want to get a grill, but it's hard to find one. What type and location did you get it from? Did you have to cut? So far a the looks of a roadster. I can't stop people from talking to me about the car's looks. This on the road, at stores, work, etc. They tell me they love the looks and some even saying they see the hard tops, but the convertable looks better.

i got alot of props for my yellow ZR the other day. someone chased me down the street to say how great it looks as a vert. i also had some young kids who thought it was hot too. a hot chick in a silverstone Z was waving at me a few days ago! i love attention
When you buy a roadster you MUST get a 5AT!! If you dont, you might not make all of the correct shift point since you are busy tossing back all of the panties that get thrown in the passenger seat.
The reality is most convertibles don't look as nice as their coupe counterparts with the top up (i.e. 997, C6, F430, Lambo Murc). But, with the top down, its another story.
